Chapter six: Bad feeling

TW: slight sexual harassment, mention of death

Y/n POV:

I was in my room taking all the books that I borrowed from the library to return them. I took my diary with me to write since I will be spending my free time there. As I arrived at the library I went to the lady from last time and gave her the books. She smiled at me and took the books then said "You read faster than anyone here"

I chuckled and said "what can I say I really love reading"

She smiled and asked me "are you going to borrow books today?"

I shook my head and said "Not today, I think I will only look for next time."

She nodded and let me go. I walked around and saw a couple of books for next time. I took a small book just to read it for now. As I was walking, I saw prince Loki, he was looking at me. I looked away, continued my walk, and hoped he wouldn't approach me. I sat where I usually sit and opened my diary to write. I was writing about how excited I am for the upcoming ball.

I let my diary down and started to read the book that I took. While I was reading I saw Liv my friend come to me and told me "The queen wants to speak with you" I nodded and let the book down and followed Liv.

Loki POV:

I saw her leave with a servant and she forgot to take her diary with her. I thought to myself this is it. That's my chance to know what she has written about me. I went to where she was sitting and took the diary. I left it in my room. I will read it when I come back from the mission.

Y/n POV:

I was walking with Liv to go to the queen's chambers. I looked at her and then asked "Did she tell you what she wants to talk about?"

She shook her head and said "No, she just told me to find you and tell you that she wants to speak to you." She was silent for a moment but then continued "why? Did you do something?"

"No" I said

"Well then there is nothing to be afraid of" she laughed

I laughed then looked at her and asked "How you've been? It has been a while since the last time we talked"

"I am good, and yes it has been a while" she said. She then looked at me and asked "I am still shocked that you are still working for prince Loki. Normally no one would stay that long."

I laughed and then said "Well he is a pain in the ass, but I am holding on for my mother. You know, I am doing all of this to help her"

"Yeah, I know. Well, if it makes you feel any better you are one of the bravest and strongest women I have known. If you can tolerate prince Loki, I believe you are capable of anything. You might even wheel Prince Thor's hammer." she said laughing while we reached the door of the queen's chambers.

I laughed and hugged her. The guards opened the door and I entered. I curtsy in front of the queen and she told me to rise. "Come here child, sit next to me" she said while pointing to the seat next to her. I went and sat next to her. She then surprised me when she started to play with my hair. "How have you been?" she asked

"Ok, I guess" I answered nervously.

"You don't have to be nervous" she assured me and I nodded. "I assume Loki has not told you yet" she said while putting a piece of hair behind my ear.

"About what your majesty" I said confused.

"He will be going on a mission for a week, with his brother Thor" she said

"No, your majesty he did not tell me" I said

"Please call me Frigga. I think we are past formalities." She said,
