Very Important A/N: This is a snippet from one of my favorite movies: The Butterfly Effect (2004). To avoid confusion, in this story Ziggy can time travel through a journal, reliving moments of her childhood that she thought she would never remember, since she always suffered from memory gaps/losses.

WARNING: Mention of rape, animal abuse and death.

3rd Person POV

Seven years ago, Ziggy moved away leaving everything behind, bad experiences, a toxic friendship, psychological traumas and problems. There was only one thing that kept her happy, a person actually.

Y/n Miller.

Ziggy always loved her, she hadn't noticed it until she was thirteen, and she knew that the feeling was mutual, much more since they both shared their first kiss. A kiss that would unleash complete chaos.
She promised to come back for Y/n, but she never did.

But as I said, that was seven years ago. Ziggy being twenty years old, she was the top of her class in university, she shared a room with her now best friend Holly, and best of all, she hadn't lost her memory for exactly seven years. When she was younger, she had blackouts in the middle of suspicious situations that didn't allow her to remember what had happened, but not anymore.

Until that night.

After going to a bar with Holly on a double date, Ziggy had returned to her room with her date. Before they can be intimate, Ziggy politely offers her a drink, as her curious girl was checking under her bed, finding a box with several journals that Ziggy hadn't touched in too long.
The girl curiously asks Ziggy to read something from her diaries, but to her bad luck, she reads about the day when Tommy Miller —Y/N's twin brother— murdered her dog, by burning him alive.
The more she read, the slower she processed it. The letters of the journal began to shake, literally shake, as did everything around her.

"Are you okay?" Her date asked, but it was too late to answer

Out of nowhere she was no longer in the room, but in her thirteen-year-old body, waking up in a junkyard where the incident with Tommy and her dog had occurred.

Ziggy had traveled to the past.

After returning to the present, she tried to talk to one of her best childhood friends, Lenny, to prove that she hadn't gone crazy, and that what she saw in the past was real. Lenny had also suffered from Tommy's abuse when they were kids. I dare not say that he had a worse childhood than Ziggy, since they were all in the same situations, but the consequences were a different hell for each.
Lenny was still shocked since the last time he was with Ziggy, Y/n and Tommy seven years ago, that he didn't even dare to talk about what happened. Between babbling, a scream, and a rough shove toward Ziggy, there was no question that what she saw did happen.

For the third time, Ziggy read one of her journals, she wanted to know what happened a certain day when she was seven years old, and her mother had left her in the care of George Miller, Y/n and Tommy's father.
The only thing she remembered before losing her memory was that George had offered her to appear in a home movie, in a leading role, but it had to be a secret. After that, she didn't remember what happened until she woke up in a basement, George in front of her with a camera, and Y/n next to her, but there was a problem, both girls were naked. Ziggy wanted to know how they got into this situation.
