Hot chocolate and watching Home Alone sounded perfect to start the day. A cold winter under the warm covers was one of the pleasures of Y/n's life, specially when she would wake up surrounded by her wife's arms.
Stretching out on the bed, Y/n turned around only to find out that Ziggy wasn't next to her.

Sighing heavily, Y/n stood up taking her crimson silk robe, the soft fabric gliding down her arms. Looking out the window she noticed it was snowing, which made her plans of having breakfast with her spouse even more ideal.

She approached the kitchen in search of the ingredients for the breakfast, thinking of waffles, hot chocolate, coffee for Ziggy, perhaps adding a bowl of fruits to the menu.
Y/n turned the radio on and washed her hands to prepare the breakfast.

"... New York City's Transport Workers Union Local 100 goes on strike over pension and wage increases, shutting down all subway and bus services for three days... "

"...Angela Johnson becomes the first woman in 50 years to be sentenced to death by the US Federal Government. Johnson is liable of five murders in Iowa, receiving the death penalty for four of them..."

"... It's the second biggest opening for this magical month, after The Lord of The Rings: The Return of The King. That's right, I'm talking about Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, what an amazing movie, I went to the movies three times this week only for that piece of art and tonight I'm going back again with my daughter. If you haven't seen it yet, what are you waiting for?..."

Changing station after station, Y/n finally found one playing some music. Where Did You Sleep Last Night by Nirvana filled the kitchen and she turned moving her head at the rhythm of the song.

In the middle of the counter Y/n saw a cup of coffee over a newspaper, she frowned picking it up realizing it was completely cold. Under the cup was a newspaper. She grabbed it and noticed that next to the coffee stain was an advertisement for a house for sale, enclosed in ink.

Ziggy hadn't told Y/n anything about moving. Maybe she wanted it to be a surprise.

Once breakfast was ready for both of them, she started looking around the house for Ziggy.
She knew she hadn't come out, her shoes were in the entrance, the car was still in the garage, and all her coats were in the coat rack.
It wouldn't be difficult to find Ziggy though. The house wasn't big, so Y/n didn't take long to find her in the basement checking old photo albums, giving her back to the stairs.

"Ugh, it smells very bad down here" Said Y/n going down the stairs

"Yes. Maybe you should clean" Ziggy replied sarcastically not looking at her. By her tone of voice, Y/n knew Ziggy was not on mood

A couple of nights ago they had a huge fight. Those kind of fights were couples scream out of anger, toss things, say things they shouldn't say. It was their first and last fight of that magnitude. But since then Ziggy has distanced herself.

"I prepared something. I thought it would be nice to have breakfast while we watch Home Alone, or whatever you want"

"Not now, Y/n" Ziggy responded not leaving the photo album. She just didn't want to see her

Then Y/n remembered what she heard on the radio "You know, there's a new movie people won't stop talking about. It was Narnia or something like that... They say it's really good. We can rent it and watch it" But Ziggy didn't respond

Y/n sighed heavily. It's been days since the fight, she knew bad things were said and bad things were done, but in her defense, she wasn't the one to blame, so she didn't understand why Ziggy is acting like that.
