Y/n scratched his neck nervously, seeing how everyone got together in pairs dancing to Time After Time by Cindy Lauper, he and the rest of the party not knowing what to do.

Well, he did know, the problem is that he didn't know how. Taking a deep breath, he approached Max and tapped her shoulder. When she turned around he immediately got mesmerized, because of the nervous and because her beauty left him speechless.

He actually froze, he didn't speak or move, his mouth had been slightly open about to say something, but the words were stuck, making Max frown and think the nickname she gave him, "weirdo", suits him.

He kept like that for a couple of seconds, until Mike smacked his head "I-dance-this-love, you-wanna-song-with-me?" He said fast mixing the words and confusing Max "I mean— I dance this song, you wanna love me?"

"What?" Asked Max containing her laughter, as Mike roll his eyes and Will mentally face-palmed 

"Uhm... I... You see..." Y/n mumbled sorting the ideas in his head, and finally he made it "Look, I think you look really beautiful tonight" His praised made Max's cheeks turn pink "So, I was wondering if you... Wanted to dance... Like, with me?"

Max shook her head with a smile and grabbed his hand "C'mon weirdo, let's make your dreams come true" She said dragging him to the dance floor. Y/n turned his head to his friends giving thumbs up and holding a triumphant smile

Of course, Max saw that and he instantly erased that grin "Er— It's not what you... I just—"

"Shut up and dance" Max said putting her arms around his neck, he slowly raised his hands a little above her waist

Little by little, the rest of the party got a partner to dance with. Will and Lucas were invited by some girls of their classes, Dustin ended up dancing with Nancy, and last but not least, El made it to the Ball having a blast with Mike.

Y/n remembered dancing with his mom once and she taught him a move, so he did it spinning Max around. The girl giggle showing her teeth, racing Y/n's heart so in love. And just when he thought things couldn't get better, Max took the courage and leaned in stealing a short kiss from Y/n.

Y/n blinked not believing it, he goofily smiled staring at her eyes."Wow" Was the only word that came out of his mouth

That's how they both remembered it. For Max, Y/n was a cute weirdo, and for him she was the most gorgeous girl in the Snow Ball. They've been together since then.

Y/n was lost in the blue sky waiting for Max to come out of her house. They always have dates, even more since they're on summer break, but this time it was a special day. June 15, exactly six months since their first kiss at the Snow Ball. 

"Sorry, my mom wanted to put some make-up on me" Max said getting out as rolling her eyes, Y/n turned around to see her as readjusting his backpack on his shoulder "I handcuffed her to the heater" Her joke made Y/n snort

"You don't need make-up. You're naturally beautiful" He grabbed her face and pecked her cheek

"Stop, you're making me blush" She pushed him playfully, but he grabbed her hand and pulled her kissing her lips shortly "... Great, now I'm a tomato"
