Charlee had been working on her recovery. She knew she wanted to get better and make her relationship work with Tom.

When she woke that morning, she saw Tom walking into the bedroom. He smiled. "You okay beautiful?" He asked as he kissed her.

Charlee nodded and smiled. She looked into his eyes. "I feel like I'm going to be okay. I have you and Lacey. And I have a kind of relationship with my mum. I think everything is going to be okay."

"Good. I love this positive attitude from you. You've been through so much. And I'm proud of how far you've come."

Charlee smiled as she kissed him. The two of them made out heatedly. Tom got between her legs and smirked. "Do you want to?" He asked.

Charlee nodded and grinned. She felt him push into her making her moan out loud.

The two of them went into work. She smiled as she saw Lacey. Charlee walked over to her and smiled. "Hey. You okay?" She asked as she looked at her.

Lacey shook her head. "Max is being a jerk with me. He keeps asking me if I'm still pregnant. I obviously am."

Charlee smiled as she took her hand. "You've got me. I'll be your baby daddy."

"Ha. Thanks. I just don't want my baby thinking they're not loved. When I love them more than anything," Lacey said.

Charlee smiled. "I'll go and talk to Max. I'll see what I can do," she said.

Charlee walked into the office. She looked at Max. "You know I respect you. And I care about you. But Lacey is my best friend. And I want to know what the hell you're playing at?" She asked.

Max rolled his eyes and looked at her. "I happen to think it's none of your business. So I think you need to back off."

"Well I'm not going to. I love Lacey so much. She's my best friend and I care about her. She's having your baby," Charlee said as she looked at him.

Max scoffed as he looked at her. He sighed. "No one ever asked me if I wanted a baby. I won't be a good father. That's why I don't want her to have the baby. Because I know that I won't be a good father."

"But you don't know that. I respect you so much Max. You were there for me when I was unwell. So I do care about you too. It's the actions you make now that will determine if you'll be a good father or not. Not your thoughts," Charlee said.

Max smiled as he looked at her. He nodded. "Thanks."

Tom pulled Charlee into his arms. He kissed her. "I've heard you've been saving the day. I'm proud of you," he said.

"Thanks babe. I just figured that we're happy.  So someone else should enjoy some happiness too."

Tom kissed her and held her close. "I love you Charlee."

"I love you too. I hope you know that."

"I do."

***
Charlee was sitting in Lacey's flat with her. She handed her a glass of lemonade. "Seeing as neither of us can drink. Lemonade with an actual lemon," she said.

Lacey laughed and nodded. She sighed. "Max spoke to me. He said he wants me to keep the baby. But he doesn't want to be involved. I was going to wait until I'd had her. But I'm going back to Rochdale. My mum is there and I miss her. I don't want to leave you. But I'm not happy here."

Charlee frowned as she looked at her. "You can't. I need you here. You help me with my recovery and I can't cope without you."

Lacey looked at her. She took her hand. "I have no one here babes but you. You're the only family I have here."

Charlee smiled. "Stay. For me. I will help you with the baby. I promise. You won't be alone. I will help you with her," she said.

Lacey sighed. "O-Okay. I'll stay. I promise."

"It will be okay."

***
Charlee went back to Tom. He pulled her into the room and she saw the rose petals on the bed. "Tom."

"I love you."

"I love you too."

In that moment, Charlee felt like everything was perfect. But would it last?
