Charlee sighed as she looked to the test. It didn't give her a result. Tom looked to her. "Well?"

"It doesn't say anything."

Tom frowned. He took the test from her and sighed. "I think we should just see a doctor. It makes it easier," he said as he looked to her.

Charlee nodded. She took out her phone and booked in for the doctor. She sighed. "Got to go tomorrow after work," she told him.

"Okay babe. We can hold on for one more night."

Charlee cuddled into him and smiled. She knew how complicated that everything was. And she knew she wasn't sure if she could even have a baby.

The next morning, Charlee and Tom went into work. Tom kissed her and walked off. Charlee walked over to Lacey. "My test was defective. I've got to see the doctor tonight."

Lacey looked to her. "Only you babes. Are you okay?" She asked.

Charlee shrugged. "I honestly don't know how I feel. I'm scared. Part of me would love my own little baby. So I can be a better mum than mine was. But at the same time, this could really mess up my mental health. And I'm scared," she admitted.

Lacey smiled. "It's okay to be scared. You're growing a human being. Well possibly. And you've been through a lot. It's only natural you'd be scared. I would be too babes. When you go to the doctor, tell them how you're feeling."

"I don't wanna sound stupid though."

"You won't. Trust me. Your body has been through a hell of a lot. And it's not easy," Lacey said.

Charlee nodded and smiled. She knew how both Tom and Lacey were keeping her sane during all of this. She knew she wouldn't cope at all.

Christine walked into the staffroom. She smiled as she saw Charlee. "How you doing love?" She asked.

"I'm okay. Just need to sort some stuff out. Between me and Tom," Charlee told her.

Christine nodded and sighed. She knew how things with her daughter had been tense. And she wasn't sure she liked it. She wanted nothing more than to have a normal relationship with her daughter. But she knew it wouldn't happen.

Not while there was too much unresolved tension between them.

Charlee walked into Tom's classroom. She looked to him. "Hey. So my appointment is 3:45. Think we can make it?" She asked.

Tom nodded and kissed her. He smiled. "Of course we can. Are you okay? You don't seem yourself," he told her.

Charlee nodded and smiled. "I'm okay. Don't worry about me. It's all good."

"You can talk to me. If you're struggling you know. I'm always going to love you," Tom told her as he pulled her close and kissed her.

"I know."

Charlee and Tom were in the doctors. Charlee's leg was shaking. She sighed as Tom took her hand. "Calm down babe."

"I'm calm. Don't worry."

Tom kissed her and smiled. "You're gonna be fine. We're only here to find out if we're having a baby or not," he said.

Before Charlee could say anything, her name was called. She stood up with Tom and walked into the room.

"Okay. So you think you're pregnant. Let's get a test sorted."

After a few moments, the doctor walked back in. He looked to Charlee. "Miss Mulgrew. You are..."
