Charlee groaned as she walked into work. She saw Tom and smiled. She walked over to him and kissed her. "How's my favourite girl?" He asked.

Charlee shrugged. "I'm doing okay. I just have to somehow get through the urge to be sick," she said.

Tom laughed and kissed her. Charlee laid her head on his chest and sighed. "Life is too complicated right now. I just don't know what to do."

Tom frowned. "What's up?"

"My mum. She keeps wanting me to go for meals with her. It's not that I don't want to. I can't. I'd be surrounded by too much food," she mumbled.

Tom held her close and smiled. "It'll be okay. You know it will. I love you," he said.

"Love you too."

The two of them kissed passionately. He smiled. "You know, you could always come over tonight and we can watch a movie in bed. Or we could have a movie playing in the background while I do that thing you love," he said.

Charlee smirked and nodded. She grinned. "Yes please," she said.

Charlee was sitting in the staffroom. She looked up as Lacey walked in. She smiled. "Is everything okay?" She asked.

Lacey nodded and sighed. "Max came over. We argued... a lot. And then we had sex. He told me it means nothing to him."

Charlee frowned. "Why did you let him have sex with you?"

"I don't know. I was feeling down and low. And I just... I don't know. I felt like he was comforting me. And then he tells me to not get my hopes up for anything? I'm done with men. I really am," Lacey said.

Charlee smiled as she looked at her. "Well you're better off without him babes. Trust me. Focus on the baby and being a good mummy. Okay?"

Lacey nodded and sighed. "I hate him. I genuinely hate him with a passion," she said.

Charlee was sitting in her classroom. She looked up as Christine walked in. She sighed. "Can I help you?" She asked.

"How are you doing? You never got back to me about us going for dinner?" She said.

Charlee sighed. "I don't know. It's too triggering for me. I just don't think I can sit in a restaurant with all that food. It's triggering," she said.

Christine frowned. "Is it so wrong of me to want to spend time with my daughter? Knowing she's been through a lot."

Charlee rolled her eyes and sighed. She looked at her. "It is triggering for me... being in a restaurant with all that food. Or don't you care about me? Do you just want to be seen as the mother who cares?"

"I do care Charlee. You're my daughter. I love you and Connor. I've made mistakes. I know. But that shouldn't stop us trying to make a relationship work."

"And I'm trying. It's not easy for me. Okay?"

***
Charlee was annoyed with how Christine had been acting. She felt like all Christine wanted was to act like she was mother of the year.

Lacey smiled. "What's got you in a mood?" She asked as she looked at her.

"My mother. She is annoying me. And I just... I don't know how I'm meant to deal with it. My head is a mess."

"It'll be okay. I promise you."

Charlee shrugged and sighed. But she had no idea how it was going to get worse before it got better.
