Charlee walked into Lacey house. She smiled a she saw her best friend sitting on the sofa. She had a tub of Ben and Jerry's. Charlee smiled. "Oh come on. You're not self pitying are you?" She asked.
Lacey nodded. "Max came to get his stuff. Basically asked me to choose between him and the baby. I can't be with someone who could do that," she said.
Charlee took her hand. She smiled. "Come on. Let's get you ready for work. And basically stick it to the man. You're better off without him. You have your baby to think of. And you have to somehow get over him," she said.
Lacey rolled her eyes. "He's all I think about. Day and night. I love him. And yet he doesn't want our baby."

Charlee and Lacey went into work. Tom walked over to her and smiled. "Hey. How are you?" He asked as he kissed her.Charlee nodded. "I'm okay. Just tired. You took it out of me last night," she told him with a grin.
Lacey groaned. "The sappy romantics are making me sick. Back it off," she mumbled.
Charlee smirked. She pulled her best friend into a hug. She smiled. "You know you're going to be okay. Max will come round when he sees his tiny baby girl."
"Who said it would be a girl?"
Charlee grinned. "Sixth sense. I know you're going to have a girl. So just trust me."
Tom kissed her neck and walked off. Charlee looked at Lacey. "You're not okay are you?"
"No. I'm not. I miss him and my heart aches. I'm going home. I don't wanna be here."

Christine walked over to Charlee. She smiled. "How are you doing love?" She asked."I'm doing good. I'm feeling better than what I was. But there's still a long way to go," Charlee said. She knew she had to make an effort with her mum as she was her boss.
Christine smiled and nodded. She knew that Charlee had been through a lot and that her daughter needed a mother more than anything. She somehow had to make it all right with her.
Christine knew she hadn't always been the best mum. But she had to change.
Charlee looked at her. "Maybe we can go for a drink this week? I have to take it easy with food. But I'm okay with drinks," she said.
Christine smiled and nodded.

Tom walked into Charlee classroom. He smiled and kissed her. "You know I'm proud of you. Proud of you for everything you've overcome.""Babe."
Tom kissed her. "I love you so much. Being with you... it's amazing. I love you."
"I love you too."
The two of them kissed heatedly. Charlee looked at him. "We should get married. I only ever want you in my life. I love you. And no one else will ever come close. What do you say?" She asked.
Tom frowned. He didn't know what to say. He was shocked. He didn't know what to think. He didn't think he and Charlee were ready for that step yet. But he knew he loved her.
However, would their relationship survive? Especially with the hurdles about to be thrown their way.
