I had just closed my eyes, somehow knowing since she was confident enough that she'd kill me that this sword would pierce my armor, be it made of dragon scales or not, the red hot looking blade probably having the same properties.
But I fell on my behind in the dirt without injury.
I opened my eyes, seeing boots I didn't wish to right now and my eyes trailed up the familiar form.
"You will not hurt those I love." She whispered.
"Little knight." I whispered, holding out my hand upwards, reaching for her, the blood dripping on the back off it...
"You pest!" The Executioner said as Akito had stupidly gotten in the way.
"You alright Elise?!" Kia kneeled next to me but was looking at Akito with the same horror as I was.
--------------------------------------------------
I woke up with a gasp as pain struck me.
"Don't move I have not fini--" "I need to know where is Elise!"
I jumped out of bed and ran out of the medics tent, the skin of my stomach barely fused together.
"Akito!"
"OWEN NOW!!" I bellowed, shocking him with my haste so much so that he didn't fight me.
"Wait a moment!" Kia ran after as she yelled while I was sprinting in the way Owen said he smelt her.
I shoved soldier aside, ducked strikes and was cut but I was running as fast as I could.
I didn't think a second before jumping in the way, the only think I had the time to do to save Elise from the woman that was once my mother.
I had my hands held up and the blade struck through them and through my chest as if it was butter, the blade sinking in until the guard hit my palm and I wrapped my hand around it, I know she wouldn't let go, she has no reason to.
I gasped silently, mouth hanging open and it was just now that my mind caught up with my heart, wondering what else I could have done instead of this.
I heard Elise's voice pierce through the fog of pain as the sounds of my heartbeat and the pain with each beat clouded all my sense.
"I am.... Sorry." I whispered, turning back to her and Kia who kept up with my headless chicken sprint before looking ahead and at my once was mother.
I flexed my hands and opened a pocket realm hole in each, the blade shattering to pieces as it cannot exist into the hole and outside of it if the hole cuts the object in half, it creates a paradox.
I wanted to cry out in pain as the pieces slashed at my body, throwing around with great force but I grabbed the Executioner, knowing what was too come.
In her pride of not backing up after stabbing me through the chest she doomed herself, I held her with the last of me strength, locking her head in a chock hold.
"Kia." I whispered with the last spark of strength as my eyes went dead a split second before I followed.
I saw her tackle Elise down with her body to cover her as my consciousness faded from me, I grinned in my last second as the first of my magic burst through.
I've always known this.
If I die, my pocket realm stops existing and all the magic needs to go somewhere tho I didn't think much off it....
Right now... This is my final weapon....
Going out with a bang...
And bringing...
Them...
All...
With...
Me...
-------------------------------------------------------
As the ground stopped shaking and the gargantuan magical blast dissipated, my vision slowly came back with my hearing, having gone blind and deaf from what happened.
I hissed, feeling a few burns on my legs but my armor and Kia did protect me.
"Elise." She whispered, in other circumstances I'd have been flattered to see her naked even if it was magic that burnt away her clothes but right now I couldn't.
I numbly took of my breast-plate and gave her the scale-mail under it to cover herself as I approached the middle of the huge crater we were in, this is bigger then my castle.
I fell to my knees in the middle and grabbed a fistful of ash, even the dirt and stone turned to ash, it was a split second and magic had taken out so much.
A tear fell into my open ashy palm.
"Akito." I whispered.
After this, not even her body remained.
"You idiot, you owe me a spar." I whispered, chocking on my words.
I looked up at the murmurs.
All that survived gathered around the edges of the crater, enemy and allies alike.
I frowned deeply.
"KILL THEM ALL!!! NO MERCY FOR ANYONE!!!" I screeched almost, voice cracking as I hit my fist into the ground but magic had compacted it so dense my strength did not even dent it.
None moved but I never expected them even if a part of me wanted them too.
"Kill them.... All of them.... They need to pay..." I said with a shaky voice as I looked down at my hands resting on the ground.
The pain in my heart greater then what my body felt.
I know many called me a whore and all those names because all of my wives but I love each of them truly... I really do, this is not fake, not for politics, not for strength.... For love.
"I am so sorry for dragging you into this." I said as another tear fell and I was soon crying.
I hadn't cried in so long but I just couldn't help it.
My shadow.
My wife.
My knight.
Akito.
She's gone.
