CHAPTER 14: Quits

Jennie Pov

I froze in my position and my jaw dropped when Lalisa told me that she liked me. She stared at me while smiling widely.

Did she just confess to me?

"Y-you...what?" I stuttered.

"I like you." My tummy is now full of freaking butterflies. "Shall we go home now?"

She looked up in the night sky with a frown in her face and she looked back at me.

"It's going to rain." She stated.

She just confidently confessed to me. She didn't even feel shy about it. I guess she is really shameless and confident.

"Jen, let's go before the rain starts." I nodded and let her drag me.

Jisoo is right; Lalisa has a crush on me. I didn't know that the chicken head was right about Lalisa having feelings for me.

Lalisa opened the car door for me and I sat in the driver seat. She sat beside me, which was in the passenger seat, and I drove away.

The rain has started to pour and it is pouring heavily.

Minutes later, we arrived at our condo.

I looked for Ella and she is still not here. She might be with our parents at their mansion since Mom and Dad are already back here in Seoul after their business meetings abroad.

Lalisa went to her room and I went to mine. I took a quick shower and was about to dry my hair when I heard a loud and strong thunderclap.

"AHHH!!!" I yelled out in fear and covered my ears. I accidentally dropped the hair dryer.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath because I felt like I was going to have a panic attack.

I flinched when I heard another thunderclap.

"Please...stop." I whispered as I covered my eyes. "S-top..."

I hugged my legs and buried my face in my knees.

All I can hear is the rain droplets and strong thunder.

Suddenly, I felt my arms wrapped around my shoulders. I slowly leaned back and relaxed in her embrace. She started singing softly while rubbing my arm soothingly.
