CHAPTER 16: My Girlfriend

Third Person Pov

Jennie woke up in a very good mood, even though she had only slept for about 4 hours. She did her morning routine and she prepared breakfast for them.

After she finished making breakfast, she heard footsteps coming from the stairs and she already knew it was Lalisa.

"Good morning." Lalisa always greets her good morning with a bright smile on her face.

"Goodmorning, Lisa-yah." Lalisa bit her lower lip to stop herself from smiling like a fool when she heard Jennie greet her properly and call her name.

Lalisa took a seat, and Jennie put the food in front of her. Soon later, Ella joined their breakfast, and they started eating.

Jennie kept glancing at Lalisa, and sometimes Lalisa caught her, but she just looked away.

In the middle of their breakfast, they heard a doorbell. Jennie is the one who opens the door.

"Hi! Jennie unnie. " Roseanne eunthistically greeted Jennie, who internally groaned.

"Why are you here?" Roseanne furrows her eyebrow.

"Am I not allowed to come here?" Roseanne asked and Jennie immediately shook her head.

"What I mean is why are you here early in the morning?"

"I need to talk to Lalisa about Wonwoo." Jennie frowned and let Roseanne into her condo.

Roseanne followed Jennie to the kitchen.

"Oh! Roseanne." Lalisa waved at her, but something caught Roseanne's attention that she didn't even hear ornotice.

Jennie followed where Roseanne was staring at. She chuckled when she noticed that Roseanne was staring at the food.

"Take a seat, eat with us." Roseanne cheered with happiness.

"Yehey!!" She immediately sat beside Lalisa. That made Jennie frown, but she chose to ignore her weird feelings.

They continue eating their breakfast. Ella and Jennie are the first ones to finish their breakfast. The Kim sister observed the two angels as they dug into the food.

"Did God starve them?" Ella asked Jennie about

"I think so." Jennie answered as they watched the two angels who were busy finishing all the food Jennie cooked.
 
Minutes later, the two angels finished everything and they didn't have any leftovers.
 
Lalisa and Roseanne leaned their backs against the backrest of the chair, and they both patted their tummies.
 
"I'm full." Lalisa and Roseanne said it in sync.
 
"Lalisa, wash the dishes." Jennie demanded and Lalisa nodded.
 
Lalisa started washing the dishes while Roseanne, Ella, and Jennie are seated in front of the dining table while watching some news.
 
"Rich Sun Casino will be holding a bidding event this coming Friday at night. They said that the rarest item that they have is called the 'Angel Wings'."
 
"A lot of rich businessmen and women are curious and planning to attend the event to see the rarest item, which is the "Angel Wings".
 
Roseanne stood up from her seat. Lalisa and Roseanne looked at each other with frowns on their faces.
 
"It's my wings/It's your wings." Roseanne and Lalisa said it in sync, and that made Jennie and Ella look at them.
 
"Lalisa." Roseanne is called Lalisa.
 
"Don't tell me." Roseanne nodded, causing Lalisa to sigh.
 
"He sells it for a huge price and a large land property." Roseanne said, and the two Kims are just listening to them.
 
"What for?" Lalisa asked, and she finished washing the dishes.
 
"He already accepted his fate that he couldn't have normal wings, and I think he sold your wings so he could start a new life." Roseanne answered and she sighed. "He cut his own wings."
 
"What?" Lalisa asked in disbelief.
 
"I witnessed how he cut his wings. He tried to sell them but no one accepted them because they were broken. Therefore, he chose to sell yours instead of returning it to you. "
 
Jennie watched Lalisa's reaction and she felt sad for Lalisa. She doesn't know why she is so affected when it comes to Lalisa and her wings.
 
"We are going to be late." Everyone snapped their heads at her. I'm sorry if I interrupted, but we have to go, especially me, because I have a math quiz.
 
Lalisa and Roseanne chuckled.
 
"You hate that subject, don't you?" Roseanne asked and Ella nodded.
 
"Math is so complicated. It has numbers, plus, minus, multiplied by, divided by, greater than, less than, is equal to, is congruent to, infinity, is greater than or equals, is less than or equals, empty set, triangle or delta, for all, pi, union of sets, factorial, square root, braces, brackets, perpendicular, empty set, absolute value of x, variables, and etc. Math started with the basic PEMDAS, then evolved, and it even involves the alphabet. " Ella threw her hands in the air and deeply sighed. The three older women laugh because of her antics.
 
"You are smart, though." Lalisa stated and Ella snapped her hands.
 
"I'm smart for now, but if I step into high school, I'll be one of those people who believes that "Grades are just a number," and my motto will be "Grades don't define who we are or what we are capable of." My prayer will be, "If I fail, I hope my friends fail too."Jennie shook her head in disbelief.
 
Jennie knows that her sister is pretty smart, it's just that she is kinda lazy. If her sister studies hard, she will have a chance to be an honor student and be part of those smart groups.
