She saw her sister carrying a small child and scolding the older one, the one that was the last to tell her goodbye on her wedding day.

"Flo" she called out,

Her sister turned around her face filled with surprise then a smile crept in.

"Mmasi" she ran to hug her little sister, growing up as the first and second children of their parents they had been very close, Mmasi considered her eldest sister as her best friend in the world.

Florence searched around,

"Where is your husband"

"He couldn't get through here with his car and he said he had to finish something, he asked me to greet you" Mmasi said,

Florence smiled, a smile that Mmasi guessed what it meant,

"Jesus look at this boy, he has grown up, Ikem come here, Mmasi said to the little child, playing with a stick,

"Aunty good morning" the boy greeted,

"Good morning my dear, Flo he seems to have forgotten me oo" she hugged the child,

"He was very small when you left"

She looked at the smaller child, staring at her,

"Who is this beautiful girl, is she your child? Mmasi asked,

"Yes"

"What is her name"

"Joy"

"You named her my middle name" Mmasi asked

"Maybe" they both laughed, Mmasi could guess  that Florence missed her so much that she named her daughter after her.

She carried the baby, and played with her.

"Where is Arinze" Mmasi asked referring to Florence husband,

"He has gone out, come in, the electricity company has brought light.

She knew Florence would try to change the topic about her husband, their marriage wasn't Rosy, it was one drama or another, but even after all the advice to leave that man, her sister always refuses and goes back to him.

When they were sitted, Flo served them one of their village famous sweet snack,

"This thing is better than all the ice cream and sugar in the city" Mmasi commented,

"Forget about that, it has been a long time, how are you?" Florence asked,

"My sister I am fine oo"

"My dear I can see that you look so plump and fresh, married life is treating you well" Florence said,

"You and everyone is saying I look bigger and finer"

"It is true you know"

"Florence how are you too" Mmasi asked,

"I am fine"

"How are things going with Arinze?"

"Things are better than before" her sister smiled but something was missing in her smile.

"How is your own husband" Florence asked,

"His fine".

"I missed you, so much"said Florence,

"If you did you would have tried to contact me"

"I tried but you both just seemed to disappear from the face of Earth,

"Okay I believe you, did you see our father?" Mmasi asked,

"Yes he is a miserable condition, he fell down a tree"

"Mother told me"

"I feel useless, I can't even help my own father and Arinze just gave a meagre amount"

"He hasn't let you do any business, why is he like that"

"I don't know maybe he is jealous that a random handsome man would come and sweep me off my feet". They both laughed her sister always sees the funny side to it, but was this really a joke.

"Our father is old you know and he needs to be supported by us, we should try our best to make him happy" Flo said,

"You are right my dear" replied Mmasi,

"Come to think of it, you are now very happy and In love with your husband, I remembered the wedding, you were so sad and angry now look at you now"

"Things changed, I don't even know when and how we got closer, I was determined to stay as far away as possible from him but I guess fate had another plan for us"

"Children?" Her sister asked,

Mmasi laughed,"why is everyone just asking for children" she laughed.

"I don't see what is funny, children are one important thing in the list to complete a marriage"

"What if we are not ready to have children"

"Ready? Who is ever ready to have a child, I'm just saying that you are both still young, you have money, time, happiness and love so I don't see the reason to wait, and why are you actually waiting? She asked staring into her younger sisters eyes,

"Stop looking at me like that to tell you the truth, we have both not given enough thought into the having babies matter"

"How do you know? Do you know if he thinks of it, do you also think he is not ready? Can you read is mind?"

"No"

"Then how do you know",

"What if a baby isn't Coming"

"Then you keep trying until you reach menopause or until you are so old and you die" she said evilly.

"Chai are you a witch, you have not stopped this your evillish talking and this dark stuff phase" they laughed.

"I watch a lot of movies, you know I like horror movies they are the best"

"Seriously all your mate are watching romance and romcom  and adventure. You are still obsessed with horror"

"Abegi let's eat, me I am starving".
