When I woke up, I walked over to Cato's room and sat on his bed. I was staring at him. Boys are so cute when they sleep. I waited for about four minutes and then he finally woke up. "When did you get here?"he asked. "Relax Cato I just got here" "Cato, I found out we will be in the Capitol for three weeks instead of two so we can enjoy the new tribute carnival that's there." "Well I cant wait until we get there.
We finally got to the Capitol and started to get into our tribute parade outfits: shiny,gold,Greek looking outfits.I'm so happy me and Cato come from the same district. Why? Its because we get to match for every occasion. The parade,training,the arena etc. Well anyway, me and Cato got into our chariot. Me and Cato are from district 2 so we are second. District 1 was just heading out and we were right behind them. There was so many people with weird hair. We saw district twelves outfits and I told Cato I was jealous. He was too. We reached President Snow's mansion and the president was standing above us.
When we got to the training center, me and Cato ate dinner and went to our rooms. The next day we went to the training center and I headed straight to the knife throwing station. I got all of the targets right in the middle. We watched the district twelve boy,Peeta,fall of the ropes course. We made allies with the tributes from district 1,Glimmer and Marvel, and me and Glimmer seem to have something in common:we both like Cato. Me and Glimmer became very close friends and we always talk to each other.
A couple days later, Cato,Me,Glimmer,and Marvel decided to go to the tribute carnival. We went on many rides together and I was not scared on any of them. Cato walked up to me. " C-Clove c-c-can y-you go on th-th-that ride with m-me?"he asked nervously. He was pointing to the tunnel of love. "Of course Cato!!"I said hugging him. We walked over to the tunnel of love and sat down together. The ride started and I scooted in closer to him. I layed my head on his warm shoulders. He put his muscular,strong arm around me. We stayed like this for a couple minutes and then I looked up to him. He looked down to me. Suddenly,he was leaning in to me and then we were kissing! After the kiss he said "Don't tell anyone about this okay?" "Okay"I answered.
We got off and we said goodbye to Glimmer and Marvel. We went back to training the next day. I showed off all my skills. Glimmer and Marvel were impressed. Dinner has been really awkward and disgusting lately. We have been eating very weird stuff and we always stay silent while we are eating. We don't get dessert, which I hate because I think all the other tributes get to have delicious cookies and ice cream. Enobaria has been telling me what to do for my private training session. So in some ways things are good but in other ways, they are kind of bad.
