"You weren't kidding when you said an hour," you say to Loki, now in your own pyjamas, as neither of you feel like telling the group of adult-kids quite yet. You roll around, sitting on a mini tornado to keep you upright, instead of the aching alternative, walking.

"Of course not darling," he replies in a low voice and you already want to jump back on top of him.

You both have come downstairs, to make sure the team all returns safely.  The first drunken pair to stumble through the steel doors, was Nat and Bruce. You give Loki a knowing look.

"Really? Those two," Loki asks you shocked.

"Yup, it surprised me too. They really work together though, he brings out a different side to her. I don't think I've ever seen her more open with her emotions than when she's with him," you sigh out. Yeah you and Loki were attracted to each other, but you hope that it could blossom into something more. In reality, you're more like friends with benefits. Well that's what he probably sees you as anyway.

Loki POV:

I have slept with so many people casually before, heck I have even courted with intention to marry, so why does it feel different this time? It's not like I was looking for something further than friendship, and maybe some fooling around if I was lucky. But now I feel this strange feeling and I can't quite place it.  She's intelligent, powerful, we have such similar interests, her humour is infectious, and by the gods is she miraculous in bed, I don't think I've ever met such an exemplary match.

Oh Hel, I have feelings for her. Not love, not yet. But I'm using the word yet. Maybe I should embrace it, Odin would probably be proud of me for finding such a worthy companion and mother would simply adore her.

I look down at her as she watches Bruce and Nat fondly, she deserves a man as good as Bruce. And I don't think it takes a genius to realise that I'm not. She's had enough villainous men in her life already. She giggles watching Steve and his 'friend' Bucky stumble around, her laugh infectious. I really must stop Thor from giving the mortals his liquor, they simply cannot handle it.

Regular POV:

You and Loki help all of the members of the team get to their rooms safely, laying all of them on their side so they don't choke on their own vomit. Getting Thor to his room was no easy feat, that man is somehow even heavier than he looks. Pietro was also a struggle, him sprinting away from you and Loki when you tried to catch him.

Finally tucking Wanda under her covers you look at Loki relieved. You both begin to walk back to your shared floor, completely wrecked from the day.

"Thank the gods that's over," you sigh out.

"You're welcome," Loki jokes. "We make a good team Y/N."

"That we do," you reply and reach your hand to give him a high five. Loki confusedly just grabs it, making you chuckle.

"What," he says defensively. "Oh nothing Loki, don't worry your pretty little head about it," you tease and ruffle his hair, making him scoff.

You walk to the kitchen, glad you can finally use it again, Loki following you curiously.

"Care for a drink?" you ask him, taking the cocktail shaker out of a cupboard. He decides to play along with you, although has a feeling you had never made a cocktail in your life. You have made plenty of cocktails before, unfortunately for you Loki doesn't seem like a 'sex on the beach' or 'mojito' kind of guy.
