Note that in this story they still don't know that their crush likes them.

It was winter and very close to Christmas.
The pups were playing freeze tag on the frozen backyard with Chase being It.

"You guys can't get away from me!" Chase has been It for a while and he was getting kinda upset about it.

" I'm coming for you Ruble!" He declared as he started to Chase the English bulldog.

" You can try!" Rubble Ran through the log to try and escape him. Chase however just casually ran on top and waited for him on the other side. But rubble popped out on the other end instead.

"What are you doing?" He casually asked behind Chase.

" I'm waiting for Rubble to pop out so I can freeze him." He answered not realizing who he was just talking to. " Hey wait a second!"

As he did however rubble started to run away from behind him while giggling.
Eventually he caught up to him though.
He then caught Zuma, Rocky, and Skye.
Only Marshall and Everest are left.

"Don't worry guys I'll unfreeze you!" Marshall then ran away from the approaching Chase. After dodging him by making a sharp turn, he Quickly ran back to the others. But accidentally slid on the ice covered lawn across the yard while unfreezing the pups he slid by,

"Alright." Rocky said.

"Pawsome!" Rubble said.

" Smooth moves dude." Zuma said.

" Hooray yep yep!" Skye flipped fortunately not slipping.

before stopping in front of Chase who was waiting for him.

"Uh hehe hi Chase." He said awkwardly not bothering to get up since there's no point.

" Hehe freeze." Chase simply tagged him on the nose.

"Don't worry Marshall I'm coming!" Everest was running from where Marshall came from. "WoooAaaah look ooouut!" But also accidentally slid through the ice. Chase froze her while still in motion as she ended up in front of Marshall.

"Uh hi..."

"Hey..." Both of them awkwardly said to each other. Their faces were very close to each other. Enough to hear each other's breaths.
Both of them were madly blushing but they were frozen so they can't hide they're faces from each other's eyes.
Soon they were staring eye to eye. Everest felt butterflies in her stomach and her face was really burning!

Goshgoshgoshgoshgosh! How did we end up like this? And also.... His eyes are beautiful... Like a blue gem, glistening. Wait. Now isn't the time to admire him! This is so awkward. Wait. Did I remember to brush my teeth? What if he smells my bad liver breath? Oh no this is so embarrassing!!! I wish I would faint...

Marshall wasn't faring any better, he was trying his best not to freak out or move because that would be too obvious.

Okay, Keep cool Marshall. Don't let her extremely cute face, phase you. You can do this, just like you practiced last night try to hide it. Gosh how is she so cute?! This should be illegal. Wait. I can hear her heart beat. Aaack! Why is my face so hot?!

"Um would someone unfreeze us please?" Everest couldn't stand it anymore after 5 minutes and called out.

However she couldn't see that the Pups were just talking to themselves smirking, and giggling while looking at the both of them.

"Let's just let them stay like that for a few more minutes." Chase was snickering.

"Don't you think they're so Cute like that?" Skye asked, her eyes had a hint of jealousy. That jealousy was because Everest was in that situation with her crush, while she was... Well... Just like normal.
