Everest POV:
Dear diary, there's only two things I like more than snow. My friends and family, and spending time with them.
Though I have to admit. See I've been enjoying visiting the lookout recently. Apart from having spent my time with my friends and playing with them all day. I also get to spend some time with... Well... You know.... Um but anyway!
I don't know the exact reason but, there's this one member on my team that I'm really interested in. No it's not the leader if that's what you're thinking, that's too stereotypical of me.
I didn't really know how to explain this but see it started two days ago in the Adventure bay Olympics.
Flashback...
I was invited to participate in it and of course I was super excited! I'll be able to compete and show my skills in front of a lot of people. And my friends would be there too so there's no reason for me to decline.
Well as much as I wanted to there's no snow related sports I could participate in. I wanted to do some snowboarding but it was really hot in the middle of summer so that's not really an option now is it?
A felt a little disappointed... I missed a chance and I really wanna join in on the fun! But sadly I couldn't do anything to change that.
I sat depressed some distance away from the track field. With nothing better to do before the event starts.
"Hey Everest!- Woah!" I heard a familiar voice call out. And just as I turned, a spotty pup on an red sports clothes and bands came tumbling over.
"Uuum are you okay Marshall?" I asked looking down on the clumsy Dalmatian pup.
"I'm good!" He quickly got back up with a smile and wagging his tail. " I didn't remember the ground being bumpy here last time?" He joked... Kinda.
I laughed a bit."Hey you finally smiled!" He said cheerfully.
I didn't notice I was that obvious about being disappointed over the games."Yeah..." I simply said looking down again.
"Why are you suddenly so sulky?" He asked sitting closer next to me.
" Oh, it's nothing." I said still not looking up.
"You know for someone who I thought was perfect, you're not very good at lying." He casually said.
I looked up stunned. What did he mean by 'who I thought was perfect'?
"What do you mean?" I couldn't help but ask.
" Well for instance I noticed that your ears are droopy, your tail is less active and your voice isn't as cheerful as you always do." He explained.
I was stunned even more! Since when did Marshall, the clumsy, playful, somewhat childish pup become so good at reading people thoughts?
"Come on Everest you know you can tell me anything right? That's what friends are for!" He returned to his usual happy tone.
Seeing him so persistent I sighed. I know he wouldn't stop asking me until he knows what's wrong, that's what he's like.
"I just... Really wanted to join in on the fun with you guys you know? This is my first adventure bay Olympics since coming from South Pole and I'm going to miss it." I sighed even more.
"Why?" He asked.
" Well, I don't exactly have anywhere I could fit in and join. I really wanted to snowboard today but unless it suddenly snows in the middle of summer, I don't think that'll happen." I finished with a saddened look.
