Red string

I woke up to another morning in my pup house. Nothing was amiss, I still had my eyes closed and was way too lazy to open them.
But I tried to walk out since I know Chase would wake me up if I don't anyway.

As I tried to take my first step, I felt something tug around my legs binding them I stumbled out and fell to the floor.
The impact finally woke me up, and I looked at myself and saw that I was wrapped around with a long line of red string.
"What is this?" I asked myself even though I knew exactly what it was.
I tried to struggle free and managed to get up. "Guys are you pulling a prank on me again? I swear this is isn't funny anymore!"
The reason I said that is because they've developed a terrible habit of pranking these past few days.
They kept pranking each other every chance they could get.
I struggled again trying to break the strings but they were tougher than I thought, instead they wrapped even tighter, now I couldn't move at all.
"Okay... Well that was a dumb idea... Maybe if I just..." I tried to bite it thinking I could cut it off but it was still too tough.
" What kind of string is this?!" I was a little frustrated. I moved slowly untangling myself and eventually got free.
I heaved a sigh of relief and tiredness. I took another look and noticed that the string didn't end by tying me up, it was still going inside the lookout tower and after a while I also noticed that the other end was attached to the pinkie on my left paw.
"What is going on here?" I was really confused if this was a prank they should have come out when I fell unless the prank isn't finished yet.
After thinking for a while I couldn't think of any other reason so I decided to follow where the other end of this string would lead.
I looped the excess string around my mouth and started to follow it.

I walked inside the lookout tower and I saw everyone except Ryder there.
"Guys is this another prank you're pulling off? if so please stop." I said straight away as they all turned to me with confused looks.

"Marshall what are you talking about?" Skye asked.

"I'm talking about this red string you tied me up with." I pointed to my pinkie where it was attached.

" What are you talking about? What red string?" Chase asked looking even more confused which surprised me but I tried to find my composure.

"Ha ha very funny don't pretend you can't see it right guys?" I asked towards Ruble, Rocky and Zuma.

" Um we really don't know what you're talking about either" they all shrugged.

" Oh come on don't tell me you're in it too"

" Marshall we already swore not to prank each other anymore last night because of what happened with Ryder, don't you remember?" Skye said which I finally remembered. Ryder Said we couldn't do pranks anymore because it went out of hand yesterday after we filled his room with brustles sprouts. Which freaked him out and shrieked like a little girl, it was so funny at some point.

"Oh right" I thought, But if it's not them Who could have tied this to me? I kept thinking while looking down at my string bound pinkie. It wouldn't come off and I couldn't see where the knot is like it's somehow merged.

"Are you sure you're not just hungry?"

"Maybe I guess"

"You should eat first after that we could all play together"

"you guys can go ahead, I need to do something"
As I was about to walk out Skye called out to me.

"Hey Marshall didn't you say that the string was red?"

"Yeah?" I asked thinking she might be on to something.

"And does the string keep on going?"

"Yes do you know anything about it?"
