his breath is like dry mint
his eyes are like blue waves under the moonlight
his hair is messy and shaggy
his smile is small, but sincere
his walk is awkward
his voice a little too deep
but it's those imperfections that make him true
i love the feeling of his rough tougue
i love when his eyes stare into mine and tell me
"i love you"
i love putting my hands in his hair while his lips are on mine
i love being the one to cause his laughter
i love walking next to him, holding his hand
i love listening to him ramble about soccer and the little things
it's not important why you love him
it's okay if he doesn't look the best
if he's not the popular type or really into sports
it's nothing wrong to be in love with someone
and if someone tells you it is,
because of their looks, the way they talk, or who they are,
just remember that you love him
and what you feel is important

i wrote this because i was looking at these "relationship goals" pictures on weheartit and tumblr and i couldn't help but notice how, in all the pictures, the boys' were extremely hot and built, while the girls were petite, skinny, and just beautiful. i think we get lost in the way society portrays some things and i just want you to know, whatever you have is important. not what others expect you to have :)
