Ben

There were many people at Grandma Duck's farm.Many of them being in the Duck family, and Duckman family.They were there for the final preparations for Emilie, and Gladstone's wedding.While Fethry,and Gloria went to get cyan peonies,Anber had Huey,Gosayln, and Dungan help him with the archway.
"Okay," began Abner. "Now,this is going to be a lot of hard work. Everyone knows what they're supposed to do,I don't want to repeat myself on instructions, and don't want anyone goofing off.Dungan."
"I'm not going to goof off Poppa."said Dungan.
"Good.Now let's get this started.This is going to take a while."
"Why isn't she doing anything?"
"Hey! I am doing something!"said Gosayln. "I'm doing the painting!"
"Not you!The clown."said Dungan.
"Clown?What clown?"asked Huey as he looked around.
"That clown."said Dungan pointing to Annebelle,who was sunbathing on a beach chair.
"Figures that-"Abner said before pausing to think of a more appropriate word to say in front of Dungan to describe Annebelle. 
"Annebelle would be doing something like that."Abner said after failing to come up with an appropriate word. "I'll deal with this.Huey,your in charge."
"Huey's time to shine!"Huey said excitedly as Abner went towards Annebelle.
"Please,"said Gosayln ."Abner's coming back."
"What are you doing?"asked Abner when he got to Annebelle.
"Getting a tan. If I can't be the center of attention on July 17th,then at least I should look the best."said Annebelle.
"Get off your lazy tail feathers,and get to work!"
"Uh-are you implying that I'm not doing anything for the wedding?"
"Are you kidding me?Even Louie's doing something!And he's one of the laziest people I know!"
"Hey!"said Louie. "Writing the names on the name placements is harder than it looks!"
"Look,why don't you help Louie?"suggested Abner.
"But my tan-" protested Annebelle. But Annebelle didn't get to finish her sentence as Abner threw her off the beach chair.
"Now go do something.Useful."said Abner before returning to Huey,Gosayln, and Dungan.
"Gah.Fine."said Annebelle as she brushed herself off.She didn't know what to do.She suddenly saw her sister,Kelly, and Webby, and wondered what they were doing.
"Hey,what are you two doing?"Annebelle asked when she got to them.
"We're getting wires for the flowers on the archway."said Kelly.
"Do you want to join us?There's a ton of wire in the shed."said Webby.
"Sure."said Annebelle.If she was seen with the two of them then it'll look like she was working.
"Great!Let's go!"said Webby racing towards the shed.
"Webby!Wait up!"Kelly yelled as she, and Annebelle ran after her.Webby was waiting outside the shed door when Kelly, and Annebelle got there.Webby opened the door.
"Hey!There's a kid in here!"yelled Annebelle.
"Annebelle," said Danielle,who was helping Dewey, and Violet with the table decorations. "If you don't want to help,just go home."
"Okay."said Annebelle turning around.She could get a better tan at home anyway.
"No!She's right!There is a kid in here!"said Webby,who rushed into the shed.
"Webby!Wait!"said Kelly,but Webby ignored her.
"Hi I'm Webby!"said Webby in an excited voice.The child,a boy,backed away from Webby.She was loud, and her voice hurt his ears.
"Webby,don't."said Kelly.
"Why?I'm just trying to make friends with him."
"We don't know why he's here.This is an adult situation."
"But-"
"No,this isn't F.O.W.L.,or anything like that.You're too young for this."said Kelly.Kelly suddenly kneeled down to the boy's level. "Hi, I'm Kelly.What's your name?"
"Ben."said Ben while looking down.He didn't want to look the woman in the eyes.Ben didn't like looking people in the eyes.
"Ben,what are you doing in here?"asked Kelly.Ben didn't say anything.
"Well,let's get you out of here."said Kelly,grabbing Ben by the hand.
"Oh,boy!"said Webby. "I can't wait to introduce Ben to everyone!"
"No.You will continue to look for wires for the flowers while I take Ben to Grandma Duck."
"Awww,come on..."whined Webby.
"Stay." demanded Kelly.
"Fine."said Webby,who clearly wasn't happy with what Kelly told her to do.
Kelly took Ben out of the shed.Ben looked around as Kelly took him to Grandma Duck.There seemed to be a lot of things going on.He wanted to ask Kelly what was going on,but didn't really know how.
"Grandma Duck!"said Kelly as she entered a small wooden house.
"Yes,Kelly?"asked Grandma Duck.With her was May, and June,helping her with the food preparations.Ben noticed that June,even though he didn't know her name,was pretty.
"Webby, and I found this child in your shed.His name's Ben. I can't get much from him."
"Well,let's sit him down."said Grandma Duck leading Ben to a chair.
"Ben,sweetie,what were you doing in my shed?"asked Grandma Duck.Ben just shrugged.
"Well,where are your parents?"prodded Grandma Duck.Ben pointed up.He hoped the constant questions would end soon.They felt invasive.
"Oh,dear."said Grandma Duck,who began to walk around. "Just like Gladstone.Just like you, and the rest of your siblings,Kelly."
"What do we do?"asked Kelly.Grandma Duck thought.
"What if-what if-you adopted him?"
"Me?Me?"said Kelly in shock. "The adoption agency might not allow it.And you know why!"
"Kelly,you don't know that.Besides Ben needs a parent!You're probably the first adult in his life since his parents'...departure."encouraged Grandma Duck.Kelly thought.She had a point.Ben needed a parent, and there was only one way to find out if the adoption agency would allow her to adopt Ben.
"But if the adoption agency doesn't-allow me-to adopt Ben?"asked Kelly.
"We'll figure something out."said Grandma Duck.
"Okay.So...when are we going to do this?"
"Why not now?"suggested Grandma Duck.

"Wow. I can't believe that I got to adopt Ben."said Kelly when they were outside of the adoption agency after Ben's adoption."I was so sure that they would say no."
"Oh,your so negative."said Grandma Duck.
"Oh,well.It doesn't matter now."said Kelly,who turned to Ben. "So,do you want to help with the wedding?"
Ben didn't say anything.He didn't know how to address Kelly now that she adopted him.But he did want to help with the wedding.But-
"Who's getting married?"asked Ben.
"My sister,Emilie, and her fiancé Gladstone."
"You mean,your Aunt Emilie, and her fiancé Gladstone."whispered Grandma Duck to Kelly.
"Oh,right."said Kelly.
"Oh.Yeah.Okay."said Ben.
