A Friend For Fethry

Cissy knocked on the front door of McDuck Manor.She didn't know why Emilie invited her there.Though she was certain it wasn't anything extravagant.Emilie wasn't that type of person.
"Cissy!You're here!"said Emilie when she opened the door.
"Yes."said Cissy. "Can you tell me why-ugh!"Emilie suddenly grabbed Cissy, and then pulled her in.
"We need your help with something important."
"We?"asked Cissy.Cissy got her answer when Emilie led her into the living room of the mansion,where Della, and Daisy were.
"Cissy,this is Della Duck,Donald's sister, and Daisy Duck,Donald's wife.Della,Daisy,this is Cissy Swann,the daughter of the owner of Swann's Ice Cream Parlor.Cissy's going to help us with our problem."said Emilie.
"I don't consider Fethry not having a date for your wedding a problem."said Daisy.
"How do you two know each other?"asked Della.
"Ohhh! Of course I'll help you with getting Fethry a date!"said Cissy.
"But how do you know Emilie?"asked Della.
"She entered my Daddy's ice cream shop,looking all alone, and I decided to be nice, and strike up a conversation with her."
"I just moved to Duckburg."explained Emilie.
"Oh."said Della.
"But to talk about why we're here."said Emilie as took out a bunch of index cards.
"Um-what's with the index cards, and tacks?"asked Daisy.Emilie looked around.
"Oh,right!"Emilie said before running off to who knows where.
"So,how do you two know Emilie?"asked Cissy sitting down next to Daisy, and Della.
"Through Della."said Daisy.
"When she first came to the mansion."said Della.It was all very awkward.
"I'm back!"said Emilie,carrying a board similar to Webby's,except there was nothing on it.
"Okay," said Emilie putting the board up. "Now,even though Gladstone, and I have a pretty good idea of who we want to invite to our wedding-"
"Neither one of you really figured anything out,have you?"said Daisy.Emilie just glared at her.
"Anyway, like I was saying,Gladstone, and I have a pretty good idea of who we want to invite to our wedding." Emilie continued as she pulled out her index cards, and tacks. "Now,I'm not going to use ship names,because not all of these ships have names.Also it'll take too long."
"Oh,geez."said Della.Emilie ignored her,not realizing the reason why  Della said it.
"All the 'official couples' are going together.Scrooge, and Goldie.Matilda, and Ludwig.Donald, and Daisy.Fenton, and Gandra.Della's three-way relationship with Drake, and Launchpad.Gus, and Cissy.But there's also the 'beginner relationships' as they're called onDuckburgShipping.Net. Lena,and Webby.Huey, and Gosayln.Dewey, and Violet.Penumbra, and my sister Danielle.Now,you might not think there's nothing wrong here.But please note,the only Duck cousin without a date is Fethry."said Emilie while putting up her index cards on the board every time she mentioned a couple.
"And?"said Della,hoping she didn't sound apathetic.
"Well,how would it look if one of your cousins came to a wedding without a date?"
"Okay,either Gladstone wants Fethry to come with a date so he won't look a wallflower,or you noticed Fethry didn't have a date, and decided to play matchmaker."said Daisy.
"What's wrong with playing matchmaker?"asked Cissy.Della, and Daisy didn't say anything.
"So,"said Emilie. "Does anybody know anyone who would be a good match for Fethry?"The three other women thought.
"What about Gloria Pascoalina?"suggested Cissy.
"Who?"asked Della.
"Oh,yeah."said Daisy. "She has a stand at the Farmers' Market."
'This is what I get for being stuck on the moon for 10 years.' thought Della bitterly.
"Well,let's go!"said Emilie excitedly.
"You should put away your-whatever you call all that."said Della.
"Oh,right."

It took a while for the four women to get to the Farmers' Market.Mainly because Emilie had to put away her index cards, tacks,and board away.
"So,this is the Farmers' Market?" asked Della.She never went due to trying to catch up on lost time with her family.
"Yup."said Emilie while the women walked. "I get all my groceries here."
"Why?"
"Because."
"Oh-kay."
"Does that mean you know everyone here?"asked Daisy.
"No. I only know a few.But the only one I actually get along with is Gloria."said Emilie.
"What?Why?"demanded Della.
"They have their reasons."said Emilie.
"There's Gloria!"said Cissy,who wanted the conversation about the other people at the Farmers' Market not liking Emilie to stop.
"Gloria!Gloria!Hey Gloria!" yelled Emilie as she ran up to Gloria's booth.
"Emilie,"said Gloria. "I just set up my booth.You have to wait."
"Oh, I'm not here to buy anything.I'm here to ask if you want to be my fiancé's cousin's date for our wedding."
"Wait?What?Can you start at the beginning,please Emilie?"asked Gloria.Emilie began to explain everything to Gloria,her engagement to Gladstone,the situation with Walt, and Carl,the plans they made with Scrooge, and Grandma Duck, and Emilie's shocking discovery of Fethry not having a date for the wedding.Afterwards Gloria just looked at Emilie.
"How come you never told me any of this?"asked Gloria.
"You never asked."said Emilie.Gloria facepalmed herself.She should of know that Emilie would say that.Walt, and Carl seemed to make everything more stressful.And Emilie didn't like to acknowledge family trouble.
"Well,you don't expect me to go to a wedding with somebody I don't know,do you?"
"Oh,right."said Emilie.She didn't think of that.
"Well,how about you go out with Fethry, and see how everything goes?"suggested Della.
"That's a good idea-um-?"said Gloria.
"Della.Fethry's cousin.Just like Gladstone is."
"Oh.Okay.You, and Emilie can get Fethry,while Cissy, and Daisy can set everything else up."
"Actually, I was thinking we can do this now."said Emilie.
"But my booth!"said Gloria.
"How can we do this now?"asked Daisy.
"Easy.I've been thinking about that on the way over here.One of us calls Fethry,Gloria goes out with him, and everything works out fine."said Emilie with a smile.Everyone just looked at her.
"But what about my booth?"asked Gloria.
"We can handle it."
"Oh,no."said Daisy. "No,no,no,no,no.I am not going to mind Gloria's food booth just so you can live out some 'shipping' fantasy-"
"Hey!"
"I'm leaving!"said Daisy pushing Della, and Cissy aside as she left.
"How rude!"complained Cissy.
"So what now?" asked Della.
"We continue on with the plan!"said Emilie with excitement. "Della,call Fethry!" Della dialed Fethry on her phone.
"Hi Fethry."said Della awkwardly.She wasn't sure if Emilie's off the wall plan would work. "Emilie,her friend,Cissy, and I were wondering if you could come down to the Farmers' Market."
'Oh sure Della.Mitzi, and I would love to come to the Farmers' Market.' said Fethry.
"Great.See you two soon."said Della before she hung up the phone. "Well,he's coming....with Mitzi."
"There goes the Farmers' Market." said Emilie flatly.
"Who's Mitzi?"asked Cissy, and Gloria together.
"Mitzi is...a giant krill."
"Why would Fethry have a giant krill?"asked Gloria.
"Well,"began Della. "Fethry used to work in Uncle Scrooge's Underwater Deep Sea Lab, but it began to fall apart,which mutated one of his krills,Mitzi."
"So despite the fact that Mitzi's now huge ,he's still attached to her?"
"Yeah."
"What a tender soul!"said Gloria. "Still loving one of Mother Nature's creatures even after they don't look conventional!"
"Right."said Emilie after a while.Suddenly there was a lot of noise, and screaming.
"Hi Della!Hi Emilie! Hi swan lady! Hi pink duck!"said Fethry as he slid down from Mitzi.
"Hi Fethry!"said Emilie. "This is Cissy, and this is Gloria.You, and Gloria are going out on a date while we clean up here."Gloria suddenly looked awkward.
"Oh,we are?"said Fethry. "Well,okay,then.Which one's Gloria?"
"That's me."said Gloria walking forward.
"Okay."said Fethry grabbing Gloria's hand as he climbed back onto Mitzi. "I'm going to show you all the places that I've been with Mitzi!"
"Okay."said Gloria.She couldn't help but wonder what kind of places Fethry had been to with Mitzi.
"Okay!Bye!"said Della as Mitzi walked off with Fethry, and Gloria on her. "We'll be here,repairing the booth.Making it better,stronger,faster!"
"Della,it's a booth,not a wounded astronaut."said Emilie while handing Della a broom.
"Oh,Emilie,don't be such a killjoy."said Cissy."
"Yeah.We'll not just repair it,we'll rebuild it, and sell everything before the two of them get back!"said Della.

Although Della,Cissy, and Emilie repaired, and rebuilt the booth,they couldn't sell everything before Fethry, and Gloria returned as Della hoped.
"So,did you have a good time?"asked Della coyly.
"Oh,yes. I didn't know most of the places existed until Fethry took me there."said Gloria.
"Gloria told me all about her paranormal shop."said Fethry.
"You have a paranormal shop?"said Emilie,shocked.Gloria was the last person who Emilie expected to own a paranormal shop.
"Of course.People need to know how to treat our dearly departed correctly."said Gloria.
"Well, I honestly can't fight you there."
"Are you two going to Emilie, and Gladstone's wedding together?"asked Cissy.She could tell by the look on Emilie's face that she wasn't going ask.
"Oh,I don't know.Gloria,do you want to go to the wedding with me?"asked Fethry.
"Of course."said Gloria.
