Wanting to lift Byulyi's mood, Yongsun offered to take her to the mall for some maternity clothes after making sure that she had a good rest and meal after the ultrasound. She reluctantly agreed, knowing that her best friend was just trying to cheer her up, and she did want to go out for some distraction.

Moreover, it was never too late to prepare beforehand. She had a rather skinny figure so her belly would soon be very evident. The lawyer actually started wearing some more comfortable clothes like dresses. Yonghee gifted her with a lot of pretty ones, but she still preferred to choose home wear and office attire by herself.

A few days ago, she met Chaeyoung by chance, who was going out on a trip to the grocery store. Being all too familiar with Byulyi's style of flannel and jeans, which she often called "lesbian fashion", the obstetrician slacked her jaw in shock seeing her friend in a lacy white long dress with her newly dyed light brown hair untied. It wasn't like Byulyi looked weird; if anything, ...

she looked stunning.

The thirty-year-old woman hated being misgendered and had always taken pride in her being a woman. She felt more comfortable with baggy clothes or suits though, and so to others she had this charm that was almost gender-neutral. However, starting pregnancy somehow made her more open to embrace her femininity, exuding a novel yet refreshing kind of aura that seemed more gentle and tender.

At present, after conquering the mall - very quiet since barely anyone went out these days - Yongsun and Byulyi each held some shopping bags as they headed to a random corner and slumped down. The older woman noticed that the brown-haired had slowed down quite a lot compared to the usual, and when she turned to her with so much discomfort written on her face, she immediately understood that the younger woman needed to rest.

- I'm dizzy. - Byulyi admitted. - My legs feel a little wobbly too.

- Why didn't you say anything earlier? - Yongsun frowned at her. - Don't force yourself, you're pregnant. I'm worried. Let's get you home, I will buy you some of your favourite food later.

- Let me go with you. I can do that. - Byulyi struggled to stand up to prove herself. - I want to choose snacks myself.

She ended up having to hold onto Yongsun for support to stand firm.

- The bigger my belly gets in the future, the more regularly you will have to help me like that.

- I'll be more than honored to serve you then, miss Moon. - The brunette playfully teased.

Simply put, Byulyi started to have food cravings. And quoted from her 24/7 nanny- I mean Yongsun,

"Why the fuck do you crave so many weird things?"

Let's start with more... normal ones. Honorable mention belonged to peppermint chocolate. Byulyi on a usual day would never touch anything related to it and deemed the reality of literally everything - from tteokbokki* to fried chicken - flavored with mint choco peculiar. But again, she was no longer in a usual condition, and so on the top of one of the shopping bags Yongsun was carrying to the back of her car were ten strawberry tanghulus** with the typical bright green and brown color of this "toothpaste" flavor.

On a very random day, the psychiatrist came back from work to a strange plate on the counter. There was something greyish brown and many yellow pieces on top. At first, the older woman thought her best friend was into pottery and she wondered when she found the time to buy the supplies, combined with the fact that she still hadn't figured whatever this thing was. Examining it closer, she found that the base of this "artwork" was actually wet and that was when she realized...
