Well it was the end, September 1st, they had went around town to all their friends, but now they sat in the living room with Ford and Stan packing up their things to leave for school.
Mabel was the first to break the silence
"You know...I really don't want to leave" She said giving Waddles a pat. Ford and Stan exchanged a glance with one another, Stan sighed and nodded at him, "Well...how do you feel about leaving Dipper?" Ford asked "I wish we could stay" Dipper said putting his new journal into his backpack "Well.." Ford began "I've been thinking, you two like it here right? Well, I have 12 phds I could give you a good education" "What are you saying?" Mabel asked "Would you two like to live with us, touring the world?" Ford asked
The two where speechless for a moment before Mabel tackle hugged both Ford and Stan knocking their MASSIVE HEADS together"Yes! Really? Are you sure! I-we would love that!" Dipper yelled. Ford smiled widely "Yes of course I'm sure, and I'm sure your parents will be happy for this arrangement" Ford assured.
They had announced it to the town and their friends rather quickly, they would visit regularly they promised.
Ford had borrowed Mabel's phone to message her parents
"Hello this is Stanford Pines, I had an inquiry about your children. I have a high education and I would consider myself very responsible, I would like them to stay with me during the school year on a sort of world tour."
"Hello Ford! Me and my wife have discussed this for awhile and agreed this is a good idea, take care of Mabel and Mya for us, we would also like phone calls"
"I am unaware of a Mya but I will take care of Mabel and Mason"
And that was that, it was settled, they would stay with their grunkles.
They had moved their bags to the boat and Soos was taking their bags in for them, it turned out their adventured wouldn't end after all.
