Absolute Demise

Y/n was usually pretty calm around other people unless he was causing chaos, which was basically all the time. However there was one person that could put the fear of God into even he and his brother.

Said woman was in front of him right now.

Y/n: "Lavinia. It's been a minute since you last dropped by."

Lavinia smiled at Y/n in a way that seemed innocent, however Y/n could sense the unyielding rage behind her smile and it made him slightly (read: very) nervous. Lavinia Reni was not someone to take lightly, even with the immense power Y/n had at his disposal, Lavinia had ways to always be two steps ahead of him.

Lavinia: "You never told me that your new home would be under taimanin surveillance."

Vali: "To be fair, they don't know about us."

Y/n: "Speak for yourself, idiot. I know you told Shiranui."

Vali: "... How the fuck?"

Y/n: "Igni."

Vali: "Igni! We had a fuckin' deal!"

Igni: "Get fucked, idiot."

Y/n proceeded to chuckle at his brother's expense while Lavinia kept her smiling expression.

Lavinia: "So. How many taimanin know about you?"

Y/n: "Two. Shiranui and Sakura. The others are in the dark about us."

Lavinia: "How many taimanin are in the city as a whole?"

Y/n: "Tobi got in touch to inform me that the number's gone from six to ten. Four newer recruits just got deployed to Kuoh due to the incident with Kokabiel."

Lavinia: "You know that if any of them find out about you then you're in deep shit, right?"

Y/n: "We're aware. Shiranui and Sakura are both taimanin we can trust though. Shiranui's our landlord and Sakura's pretty harmless all things considered."

Lavinia narrowed her eyes, but she had known the boys for years at this point. If they told her not to worry, then there was no need for her to do so.

The evening passed rather quickly and Lavinia got up to leave after a rather enjoyable dinner.

Lavinia: "I'll be in the area, boys. If you need me to help with anything at all, then big sis Lavinia'll come running."

With her signature definitely not threatening smile, Lavinia took her leave.

Vali: "... So I'm not the only one of us that was pants-shittingly terrified, right?"

Y/n: "The fuck do you think I am? Of course I was!"

The brothers both laughed before they made their way to their respective rooms for the night.

Vali's room was relatively neat aside from the pile of dirty clothes at the end of his bed and the bounty papers that he got from Azazel that were pinned on his wall.
