I ran to a near by park and sat on a swing, it was old and rusty but I didn't care, and my eyes burned with tears. Why couldn't me and Ashton be planning our life together right now? Why didn't he take me with him, why can't I be with my one true love? I sat there for a while, then a little girl showed up out of no where. She had red hair and it was curly, she had on a black sweater and Galaxy legging with cute little flats, she dressed better than me! She licked a Popsicle and said,

"Hi I'm Lindsey, who are you and why are you crying"

"Well Lindsey some one hurt me very bad and they didn't feel any sorrow for me."

"Oh, my brother pushed me down and didn't say sorry once so I get it" she sort of baby talked

"Well this person was very mean, and I'm sure your brother just was cranky and he actually loves you"

"All of my family loves each other, but can I tell you a secret"

"What" I got off my swing to face her

"My daddy and mommy fight" she leaned closer "and after...he hits me and her"

I was blown away, shocked and now I asked were her mommy was and she pointed to a fragile looking blonde women about 5'4 standing against a tree, very pale. I held Lindsey's hand and walked towards the frail mom of this stranger I cared so much for.

"Excuse me ma'am" I was careful, but she flinched "I know this is weird but your daughter was talking to me and she told me you were abused, is this true"

"No" she was stern.. but fake.

"Ma'am I know your lying, and I want to he-"

"I'm ok.. Mike is having a tough time, it's just his way of letting off steam and it's ok, I deserve it"

"NO. it's not your fault and it's not ok, I know how you feel.. like you can't tell anyone but he is hurting your beautiful daughter, and anyone who can do that is not humane"

"Trust me." she began "people change"

"But that's the thing, they don't" I said
