Today was the day of court for Lindsey against her father. All I kept thinking was if I was not there at that park, Lindsey could have been dead, and so could her mother.
I was sitting in the witness stand and I started,
"Yes I saw scars and Lindsey told me." I looked desperately toward Judith, Lindsey's mother, and she gave me a push with her eyes, "and if this is happening you need to make it stop, your honor"
"Ok, thank you, Mackenzie" I had a name tag.
They put Lindsey in the stand and questioned,
"What does your father do to you?"
"Well" she lisped, "My daddy hits me and my mommy" she leaned "and he never says sorry" looking at me desperately, she added "it's been happening since I be this many" she held up 3 fingers, and now she was 6.
"Ok thats enough" I looked at the judge.
"Jury, you decide."
"Well" a familiar face started, it was Michael "the man is, is guilty your honor"
I looked at him. My blood ran cold seeing him again and now he's standing here in front of a court house acting like he's never tried to do anything illegal. I hate Michael Clifford and I'm afraid that because I love Calum I might never escape Michael.

After the case was over I took Lindsey out for some ice cream.
"Will I see you anymore?" She pondered kicking her little feet in the air and licking her ice cream.
"I don't think so sweetie, but I want you to promise me something, okay? I want you to be a good girl."
Her face brightened and she grinned, "Like you?"
I gave her a little smile that soon faded, "Yeah like me."
She nodded and continued eating her ice cream. She got it all over her face and it was blue moon.
"Lets go."
I took her hand in mine and led her out of the ice cream shoppe. She better not grow up to be like me.

I don't know what to do with myself. I've based my whole life off of trying to be a good girl. Now that that's gone I don't know what to do. My days are boring and the only thing I have left is Calum. Calum. CALUM! I can ask Calum what I should do. I dialed his number.
"CALPAL! Come over! ITS AN EMERGENCY!"
I heard him laugh through the line, "If it was an emergency you wouldn't have called me CalPal."
I rolled my eyes and lied down on my couch, "Please."
I could picture his smile, the one where the corner of his eyes crinkle, "Okay for you."
-.-.-.-
"Calum I have an issue."
"So I hear." He replied stepping into my apartment, "Spill."
I brought him over to my couch and sat down, "Okay here's the deal. I told Lindsey to be a good girl then she got all excited and said like you and then I told her yes but that's a lie because I'm not a good girl and I realized my whole life is based of me being a good girl and now that I'm not I have so much time and I'm pretty much just sitting here DIEING and the only thing I have left is you which is another problem because I'm pretty sure I'm in love with you and that's just crazy-"
"Wait you love me?"
I felt my cheeks heat up and I knew they were bright red. I do love Calum and I didn't mean to tell him right here but when I ramble it just slips.
He smiled at me, "I love you too"
