Chapter 33: Way to fly like a bat

Y/N's POV

I slowly woke up in a lot of pain. As my vision was coming to me, I see that I'm in a hospital room. I see someone sitting down on a chair next to me, reading a book.

Y/N: Alfred?

Alfred quickly looks at me. He puts his book down.

Alfred: Y/N! Thank heavens you're alright.

Y/N: I...I got shot...

Alfred: They were able to get the bullet out. You'll be okay.

Y/N: Good.

We stay silent. Then I spoke.

Y/N: Joker is out there, he's going to poison the city...

Alfred: I know....

Y/N: I need to find him... I need to stop the Joker. Find those bombs.

Alfred frowns.

Alfred: He almost killed you, sir...

I look at him.

Alfred: I already buried enough members of the L/N family.

Y/N: I'll be fine, Alfred. Joker won't be taking on Y/N. He'll be seeing Batman.

Alfred then looks at me.

Alfred: Well, Mr. Fox wanted me to tell you when you woke up, that he made something for you.

Y/N: Really?

Alfred: Yes, sir.

Y/N: Well, let's get out of here.

Timeskip

I got out of the hospital, I arrived at L/N Enterprises. I went to the R&D Wing. Lucius saw me.

Lucius: Glad you're up and made it.

Y/N: Yeah, I can't go down when there's a madman out there.

Lucius: Yeah, come follow me.

I follow Lucius. He shows me a giant plane shaped like a bat.

Y/N: Woah! What's this?

Lucius: Something when you need to be above the ground. An air combat vehicle. I call it.... The Batwing.

Y/N: It's amazing!

Lucius: You'll be able to track Joker's bombs with this.

Y/N: I better suit up.

I start to turn around.

Lucius: You don't need to leave.

I look at him confused.

Lucius: To save time while you were at the hospital. I decided to bring all of your equipment here.

A chamber opens, containing my suit and my gadgets.

Y/N: Thanks, Lucius.

Lucius smiles.

Lucius: Anytime, Y/N.

I suit up, and grab all of my gadgets and put them in my utility belt.

Batman: I'm going to end this... tonight.
