The crew gives each other nicknames

Dashi: ok. I officially have nicknames for everyone on the orange submarine!
Barnacles: what's the orange submarine?
Dashi: oh that's just my new nickname for the octopod. You know, the beetles song but instead of yellow the octopod is orange!
Barnacles: um ok.
Kwazii: what's my nickname Dashi?
Dashi: pirate kitty!
Kwazii: wouldn't that be a longname instead of a nickname because it's longer than my actual name?
Dashi: I guess your right.
Barnacles: what's my nickname?
Dashi: your Barney
Barnacles: I like it. It's better than feather paws ):
Peso: What's Tweaks nickname?
Dashi: tweaks nickname is Tweaky!
Kwazii: again. Longer than tweak's actual name.
Peso: why are nicknames called nicknames?
Barnacles: I'm not actually sure. I'm sure there is a reason though.
Dashi: I'm not sure either. But I do know that peso's nickname is money!
Peso: please tell me my nickname is money because Peso in Spanish means money
Dashi: Exactly!
Kwazii: I'm gonna nickname Dashi doggo.
Dashi: that's a solid nickname.
Peso: I think Shellington's nickname we can all agree on.
Peso, Dashi, Kwazii, And Barnacles: Shelly!
Dashi: but sometimes the vegimals call him shellydo.
Barnacles: that's a cute nickname.
Dashi: what about a nickname for inkling?
Kwazii: inky!
Peso: um.....ok!
Barnacles: I'm assuming Dashi that you gave Tunip a nickname to?
Dashi: of course I did! his nickname is lil Shelly.
Peso: interesting choice .
Kwazii: I would have done turnip or tuna
Barnacles: ummm...... that also works
Dashi: should we give the octopod a nickname? Or maybe the octo-ray?
Barnacles: I think we are good where we are.
Kwazii: ok now I really want to know why nicknames are called nicknames.
Dashi: i will check on the web.

Dashi runs over to the computer and searches 'why are nicknames called nicknames'

Dashi: it says that the first nickname was formed in 1303
Kwazii: yeow! That's a really long time ago!
Dashi: it also says nicknames were originally called a 'eke name'.
Kwazii: fancy!
Barnacles: fascinating. Like I say you learn something new everyday!
Kwazii: you never say that!
Barnacles: yes I do. You just never listen to when I'm talking.
Kwazii: whatever.

Barnacles glares at Kwazii.

Dashi: we should probably get back to work
Peso: we don't really have anything to do.
Kwazii: who votes to continue this conversation in the game pod?
Peso, Dashi, And Barnacles: aye!
