Chapter 22

Tae seemed very gloomy after a walk. He came with that very dull face to his home. His sister wondered what happened to him.

She tried to ask what is bothering him but Tae told her to leave him
alone. She thought he was still upset about their father but it didn’t seem like that.

As his sister struggled to make him alright again, she heard some knocks on the door. She went to open it and was stood there with a shock.

It was Jimin. He came along with Mr. Dal to meet Tae. Tae’s sister knows
him, so she gave that reaction when she saw him after a long time.

“May I come in?” Jimin asked
politely.

Tae’s sister slightly nodded and allowed them to come inside. Tae didn’t know Jimin was here. He was in his room with a very depressed mood.

Tae’s sister escorted Jimin and Mr. Dal to his room. She opened the door and everyone saw Tae sitting on the other side facing the window sadly.

Tae’s sister called ,“Tae!”.

But Tae didn’t respond. Again she called him and he replied with an annoying voice , “Can't you leave me alone?!” and turned back to see his sister.

When he saw, he was frozen to see Jimin. Tae came back to conscience in a second and got up from his bed angrily saying, “Why did you let him inside our home?”.

Jimin asked Tae’s sister and Mr. Dal to leave the room so that he and Tae can have some alone moments. Tae shouted ,“I don’t want to talk to you! Just go away!!.”

Jimin again insisted Tae’s sister and Mr. Dal to leave.

Mr. Dal offered to stay inside with him but Jimin said strictly to leave the room. Mr. Dal and Tae’s sister left
the both alone , closing the door.

Tae turned away from Jimin disgustingly and stared at the wall and not to look at him. Jimin slowly reached towards him and touched his shoulder so that he could turn back and face him.

But Tae brushed his hands off his shoulder in vexation and moved away a bit, still not facing him. Jimin moved along with him and said ,“Please don’t do that! Don’t move away from me!”

Tae said in an anger voice, “well you moved away from me. So why can’t I move away from you?.”

Jimin tried to explain him saying ,“Please listen to me…you got me totally wrong! First please just face me. I want to talk with you, looking at your eyes”and
grabbed his arm.

Tae again pushed his arms away and said ,“There is nothing to explain…” and he started weeping in anger and sadness.

Jimin heard him , weep and stuttering in sadness ; he said , “Please…please.. Tae don’t-please… l-look at me…”

But Tae said slowly in tears ,“Go away…” Jimin said in a soft voice, “I don’t want to go away…I want to stay on your side as a friend all along…”

“Just go away…I don’t want to hear
anything…” Tae cried more. Jimin again tried to turn him around but Tae refused and got angry.

He turned to Jimin indignantly and pushed him saying ,“Stop acting!!”. Jimin got stumbled a bit but he was
on his feet.

Tae continued to snivel in high-angered pitch voice with tears rolling down his cheeks , “JUST
STOP ACTING! YOU PRETEND LIKE YOU ARE MY FRIEND. BUT YOU JUST BETRAYED ME!! I-I THOUGHT
YOU AS MY ONLY FRIEND BUT YOU JUST STABBED ME IN THE BACK LEAVE ME ALL ALONE!!!”

His puffy eyes brimmed over with tears , he couldn't speak and his voice slowed down ,“ ……..you know how much I trusted you.?

How much it did hurt me when you left me alone and our friendship got broken in that park without a word? Jimin…..WHY? Why? I was so
lonely…..when you were not-not here….I just… I-I …… I can’t….” and collapsed in the floor crying.

Jimin stood there crying silently hearing his words. He saw how much he hurt his friend and his heart was so heavy with guiltiness that moment.

He slowly approached Tae and sat in front of him in the floor. He had no words to speak. But Jimin said in a guilty voice, “Even I didn’t know about it ... that I will leave you…”

Hearing those words from him Tae slowly raised his head and looked at him in his eyes. They were close. Tae saw him in teary eyes.

Jimin said crying slowly, “That was my parents plan…. to send me to…my Grandparents house….I didn’t know anything about it…. they sent me away when I was sleeping….so that I don’t protest…”

And he can’t speak further. Tae saw him in realization. His eyes were not lying. Jimin said in broken voice, “It's fine. It’s my entire fault. I shouldn’t have slept with the dreams of meeting you…I should have been awake that time…..I am so sorry….It’s my entire fault….but truly I missed you so much….” and whimpered in pain.

Tae softly gazed at him and hugged him tightly. Jimin too wrapped his arms around him and cried his heart out in Tae’s shoulder and warmth.

Jimin’s tears soaked Tae’s shoulders.
Tae too shed tears in Jimin’s arms whispering ,“No I .... I was wrong. I am so sorry for not understanding you”.

They both poured out all the pain that was stuck inside their heart for so long. That was an emotional reunion for them.

After crying in each other’s arms, they both become friends again and strongly promised to stay beside each other as friends.

Jung kook was preparing food before his father’s return. He doesn’t know to cook properly but he tried his best to cook.

In result of his hard work, he cooked a good dish. His leg was fine now. He can go to his school tomorrow and thanks to his “stranger friend”.

When his father reached home, he explained everything that happened and also shared the happy news. His father was rejoiced , his son got selected for national athletes.

"Awee , I'm so proud of my son and wishing you a good luck , my boy . You can do it." He let out these words out of happiness and his dad continued his words again with a strict tone ,

"Be careful when you walk . You shouldn't sprain any of your legs or get hurt again , ok ?"

Jungkook smiled and nodded his head and then they both had their foods.

I apologise for uploading this chapter after a long gap as I was busy with my classes but I'll try to upload the remaining chapters at my free times .
