Take me to the sky

Chapter 23

The sun rises as usual and it was a lovely morning. Jin picked up Namjoon from his home and said
he will pick him up every morning when he goes to his office.

Namjoon refused the offer at first but Jin forced to take it. As they were in the car , driving to Namjoon’s workplace ; Jin asked ,“Did you eat
something?”

Namjoon said ,“Yeah…. I did ...I ate an apple”.

“Is it enough for you?”, Jin asked doubtly , hearing those words from him. Namjoon quieted down to avoid the answer.

Jin glanced at him again with a doubt. He knows it is not enough for him. He then drove his car and stopped it at a restaurant.

Namjoon was shocked. Jin said , “Stay in the car, I will be back” and got out of the car. He went inside the restaurant , ordered something and bought some food for Namjoon.

Namjoon stayed in the car looking for Jin and spotted him coming back with something in his hands.

He got inside and handed the food parcel to Namjoon. He looked at him in an astonishment.

Jin said ,“These can suffice your breakfast and lunch”.

Namjoon felt reluctant but Jin comforted him saying , friends should help each other.

And then they drove from there,
Jin asked again ,“Do you want anything to drink?”. This time , Namjoon strictly refused that he doesn’t want anything.

But Jin didn’t listen to his words , instead he stopped at a departmental store. Namjoon stopped him saying he doesn’t need it but Jin went to the store.

There he grabbed a water bottle and a juice pack quickly and paid for the things he bought. Namjoon is feeling little guilty now.

This should be his responsibility to take care of himself but he is letting his friend to do it.

Jin came back and got into his car, handed him the things saying ,“Now we can go!” and drove off .

The drive was filled with silence. Jin knows that Namjoon didn’t want it
but this is his nature to help others.

They reached Namjoon’s workplace. Before Jin could say anything,
Namjoon rushed out without saying a word.

Jin got worried , 'Did I do something wrong?' he thought.

Thinking for a moment, he quickly got out of his car and went inside the academy. He searched for Namjoon and found him and the place seems to be a locker room for students.

He was sitting there with a lowered head. Jin came near to him and tapped his shoulder.

Namjoon looked at him. His eyes were teary. Jin gave a soft look and that made him to sit beside him,  still one of his hands was placed on his shoulder.

“Did I do something wrong?”, Jin asked with a concern. Namjoon rubbed his eyes and said ,“No you didn’t”.

“Why are you crying then?”, Jin asked swiftly. Namjoon was still sitting with his lowered head . Jin looked at
him softly.

They were seated in that position for 2 mins until Jin called him softly.

Namjoon said ,“I don’t know… I felt embarrassed…” Jin asked “why are you embarrassed?”.

“Because I can’t do anything…. On my own…. It sucks. Really…. It sucks that I am useless…. And I am a burden to everyone…”, he sobbed.

“Don’t think such things ….. Don't think you are useless and you are not a burden to anyone… Namjoon, you are better than so many people out
there who are useless. Listen , You are a diamond and very hard to find… and I am so lucky that I got you as my friend… don’t cry … you should be strong… please don’t cry…”, Jin said those words and took his chin , tilted his face up.
