After advancing to the final rounds of the Sports Festival, the Jedi Initiates of Class 001 along with the other Jedi classes made their way to the stands to watch the UA tournament. They watched the matches closely. They watched as every UA participant of this tournament gave it their all. In the end, Katsuki Bakugo of Class 1-A emerged victorious. After a brief intermission, The matches for the Jedi Academy students were decided on a lottery.
Match #1: Ganodi VS Jaden Korr
Match #2: Gungi VS Nahdar Vebb
Match #3: Petro VS Kalifa
Match #4: Katooni VS Rosh Penin
Match #5: O-Mer VS Byph
Match #6: Barriss Offee VS Jinx
Match #7: Xanatos VS Cal Kestis
Match #8: Zatt VS Serra Keto
As the matches for the tournament were announced, those participating in the tournament were given time to prepare for the tournament. Soon enough, Ganodi and Jaden were called to the fighting stage. Before making her way to the fighting stage, Ganodi turned to her fellow classmates of Class 001.
Ganodi: Wish me luck, guys.
Katooni: May the Force be with you.
Zatt: No matter what happens, we'll be cheering you on.
Ganodi smiled as she made her way to the fighting stage. Standing in front of her was Jaden Korr from Class 002. Overseeing this fight was not only Midnight, but also Master Cin Drallig. As the crowd cheered, Present Mic announced the fight through the intercom.
Present Mic(Intercom): ALL RIGHT, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! HERE WE HAVE THE FIRST MATCH FROM THE JEDI ACADEMY! FIRST WE HAVE GANODI OF CLASS 001! HER OPPONENT IS JADEN KORR OF CLASS 002!
As the crowd cheered for the two Jedi Initiates, Ganodi and Jaden readied their Lightsabers.
Ganodi: May the best Jedi win.
Jaden: And may the Force be with us.
Present Mic(Intercom): CLASH!
As the fight was announced, Ganodi and Jaden activated their Lightsabers and clashed. Ganodi attempts to maneuver around Jaden's defense, but Jaden was able to maintain a strong defense. Jaden then attacks Ganodi with a series of strong strikes, but Ganodi uses the Force to push him back.
Ganodi: (This is my chance! I have to move fast if I'm going to beat him!)
Wasting no time, Ganodi charges at Jaden and goes for an overhead strike. Jaden was able to react quickly in time to block Ganodi's strike and parries it with his Lightsaber. Before Ganodi could react, Jaden uses a powerful Force Push to push her away. Ganodi was able to get back on her feet, but before she could attack, she is blasted by several kinetic strikes from Ganodi. All Ganodi could do was block the attacks. When Jaden stops, Ganodi catches her breath.
Ganodi: (Why did Jaden stop? Better get moving before....)
Midnight: GANODI HAS BEEN ELIMINATED!
Ganodi was shocked to hear this. She looked down to see that she had been pushed out of the area.
Ganodi: No way!
Present Mic(Intercom): AND JUST LIKE THAT, WE HAVE A WINNER, FOLKS! JADEN KORR OF CLASS 002!
As Ganodi was processing this, Jaden walked up to Ganodi and helped her up.
Jaden: You did good, Ganodi.
While Ganodi kept her cool, she was kicking herself for losing like this. When she made her way back to the stands where her classmates was, she was ashamed.
Ganodi: I'm...I'm sorry I blew it, guys.
Zatt: Don't worry about it, Ganodi. You did the best you could.
Katooni: There is no shame in losing. Use this as an opportunity to learn.
With that, there was a brief intermission. After that, Gungi and Nahdar Vebb were called to the fighting arena. As Gungi and Nahdar readied their Lightsabers, Present Mic announced the fight.
Present Mic(Intercom): FROM CLASS 001, WE HAVE THE MIGHT GUNGI! HIS OPPONENT HAILS FROM CLASS 004! GIVE IT UP FOR NAHDAR VEBB!
Gungi and Nahdar nodded to each other in respect. Both prepared themselves for the fight to come.
Present Mic(Intercom): CLASH!
As the fight began, Gungi and Nahdar activated their Lightsabers and charged at one another. When they locked blades, they pushed against one another. Gungi was able to use his superior strength to break through Nahdar's defense. Nahdar reacts but using the Force to tear off pieces of the arena and chucks them at Gungi.
Nahdar: You're strong, Gungi. But I plan on winning this duel!
As Nahdar continues to throw the debris at Gungi, Gungi cuts through the debris with his Lightsaber. Gungi then lunges at Nahdar and the two clash blades once more. During the clash, Nahdar uses the Force to knock Gungi's Lightsaber out of his hand. He then points his Lightsaber at Gungi.
Nahdar: This fight is over.
Gungi: <I'm not giving up just yet!>
Gungi then lunges at Nahdar and attacks him with his fists. During the scuffle, Nahdar's Lightsaber was knocked out of his hand. Gungi then pins Nahdar to the ground and puts him in a submission hold. Nahdar attempts to fight back, but is unable to break Gungi's hold. Left with no other choice, Nahdar was forced to forfeit.
Nahdar: I....I forfeit!
Present Mic(Intercom): AND HERE WE HAVE IT, FOLKS! THE WINNER OF THIS MATCH BY FORFEIT IS GUNGI OF CLASS 001!
Gungi felt proud of himself as he helped Nahdar up. When he returned to the stands, his classmates greeted him.
Petro: Way to go, Gungi! Way to represent Class 001!
Gungi: <Thank you. You honor me with your words.>
Petro then looked to the stands and could see Kalifa. In that moment, Petro prepared himself for his match against Kalifa, knowing that the fight between the two would no doubt be an intense one.
