Edith had woken up early still in her blue silky nightgown she got up out of bed and lightly walked over to the bathroom where she splashed cold water on her face to wake her up she then pulled on her robe that hung on the door not bothering to even tie it up she wandered down the stairs to the kitchen where she began to clean when she heard her door open and close.

She heard the person wander in to the main room and she quickly grabbed the a wooden spoon that was on the side she tiptoed to the main room and without thought hit the person as hard as she could over their head.
"Thomas!?" She peered down at the man who was now on the floor holding his head she stood above him with her hands on either side of hips she shook her head tutting "do you normally hit people over the heads with wooden spoons?" He asked running his head,

She waved the spoon about "I don't know do you usually break into peoples houses uninvited" he got up of the floor "most of the time yes" he shrugged making Edith role her eyes at the thought "would you like a cup of tea?" She wandered into her kitchen in wich he followed

"Yes I do but I'm here because I thought I would walk to work with you since we live next to each other" she raised her eyebrow at him "well- and it looks good to have a pretty woman on my arm" he flirted causing Ediths face to dramatically burn a deep red but she hid it with her hair that fell loosely down her face.

"Would you like sugar in you tea?" She asked to wich he shook "no sugar for me never really had a sweet tooth" he shook his head and took the steaming tea "no sugar! Is there to be trouble" she mocked to which he Stifled out a small laugh "no trouble for today" he shook his head she looked at him unsure "well I better get ready stay down here and drink your tea" she ordered walking up the stairs

As she walked back down the stairs Thomas's eyes never left her he was in awe as he racked down her body she was beautiful "I'm ready she smiled" he put down his tea wich had barely been drank "I think I am to" he agreed
As they walked Thomas led her to what seemed to be some sort of yard he took her to some stables he unlocked the gate and let her walk in first "I thought we where going to the betting den" she looked behind at Thomas who had his signature cigarette In his mouth.

That's when she spotted the beautiful white beauty she took the cigarette from Thomas's mouth and swatted the smoke in the other direction crushing the cigarette also "you shouldn't smoke here I'm sure it's not good for the beasts lungs" she looked back and forth between him and the horse "is she yours?" He nodded

"Come on we're taking her worth us" he led the horse while Edith walked beside him as they walked they urged closed to garrison before a pool of mucked water was slashed at their feet Thomas stepped back Just in time also pulling Edith back stopp...

"Come on we're taking her worth us" he led the horse while Edith walked beside him as they walked they urged closed to garrison before a pool of mucked water was slashed at their feet Thomas stepped back Just in time also pulling Edith back stopping her shoes from being ruined
The horse startled and Thomas easily calmed it

Edith and Thomas looked up to be met with the eyes of Grace "sorry mister shelby" she apologised
"Does she have a name?" Edith zoned back into the conversation after taking her eye of the  horse who still looked slightly startled he shook his head "poor beast should have a name" Grace smiled but was not returned with one

"Do you want something from me?" Thomas asked Grace rather rudely "I would like to sing, Sundays only" Edith smiled at the idea and when Thomas looked down at her and noticed the smile he agreed

"Goodbye Grace" Edith waved before continuing on with Thomas ignoring the states she got from people who would stop for a second just to stare "I think it's time to go out separate ways then" Edith smiled stopping outside the betting den while Thomas still held on to the reign of the horse

He tilted his cap "I'll hope to see you later" she smiled "keep out of trouble will you, and keep the horse healthy for me" she asked as she unlocked the doors of the betting den and watched Thomas nod at the request
