      SONICS POV

     It all started with Amy. Everything starts with Amy.
We were in the tree house packing up my stuff. I was leaving for the convent in .32 minutes.

Amy was being sexist and said I couldn't be a nun. I would never tell her she couldn't be a nun.
I'm pretty sure she was just mad that she wouldn't be able to marry me if I joined a convent. Whatever. It was never gonna happen.

I take one last look around the room before grabbing my bible and heading out the door. Outside, Tails was waiting for me in his jet. I stepped outside where Knuckles solemnly gave me a hug. I got on the jet and we flew away.

SHADOWS POV

   As I step into my new bedroom, I see the piles of black robes and cloths. I look at them with distaste.
Eggman.
This would've never had to happen if it wasn't for him. It's not my fault that he's a terrible partner. Besides I'm the ultimate life form, I can have whoever I want as a partner.

Yet here I am. Following Eggman's orders.

He meant to send me here months ago, but I kept staying back. After he threatened to blow up my shoes, I decided it was best to leave.

Joining the convent seemed like a cruel punishment at first, but I've found it to be quite serene. I finally get the quiet that I wanted.
I threw on the nun clothes that lay at the top. It was a little big, but not to awful.

I turned around when I heard the door creek open.

Sonic Teh Hedgehog ?
Me and sonic have been enemies for years. What was he doing at my convent? Since when was he religious?????????
"I love god" he said, seemingly reading my mind.
"Me too" I said. "What are you doing here?"
"I'm here to dedicate my life to the lord and become a sister of Christ. Guess I'm you're convent buddy!"
I groan.
"Give it up faker, I know you aren't into that kind of stuff." I retorted.
He gasped, looking hurt. "How could you say such a thing?" Tears filled his emerald orbs.
Suddenly, a pang struck my heart.
"Wait you're serious?" I said, debating whether to give him a pat on the back.
"Of course I am! Haven't you read the gospel?"
"Of course. Mark is my favorite." I say, blushing.
"Oh, m-mine too" he stuttered, also turning red.
I didn't know what to say after that. We both stood there in silence. Until the bell rang for prayer time.
We both dropped onto our knees and pulled rosaries out  and bowed our heads.

SONICS POV

I should've been focusing on god, but I couldn't help but stare at the dark hedgehog  before me. He was glowing, as if he had been touched by the Holy Ghost.

He looked so deep in prayer, I couldn't help but blush, fiddling with the rosary in my hand. Shadow would be a great nun.
After prayer time was over, I felt guilty, yet had no regret.
I didn't see him again until later that night. He was all dressed in his nun garb, sitting on his bed, which sat across from mine.

"Sister Mary said that I would be a promising nun." I said breaking the silence.
"She said that I would be breaking new barriers."
"That.. great." He said in a somber tone.
I couldn't help but ask..
"What's wrong shadow?"
He stayed silent.
"If I told you you'd think I'm crazy."
"No I could never"
"I won't tell you, so shut up"
And with that we were right back where we started.
