Daniels POV

...I think I just heard a sharp breath and crying...
I got up and left my room to see who it was.
"Regina?" I say squinting at her because there were only a couple of lights on in the house.
"Ah! Oh, it's just you Daniel." She says while sniffling.
"Are you okay?" I ask her.
"Yeah I'm-I'm fine." She responds, looking away. I can tell she's not.
"I know you're not, what's wrong?"
"I-I..." She pauses to wipe her tears away. "I don't want to talk about it." She looks at me, mascara dripping down her face and her eyes red and puffy.
"Regina, you've been crying? Cmon, tell me, what's wrong?"

Reginas POV

God, why won't Daniel give it up already? I think to myself, would he tell Melvin? I guess it's worth a shot...

"It's..." I sigh, "about you and Melvin."
"What do you mean?" He asks, dumbfounded.
"I-Did you- why were you two holding hands?"
I ask him then immediately turn away, feeling my face heat up.
"We accidentally glued our hands together." He says.

What?

"How did you do that?" I ask, confused.
"I don't know, it was his fault though, he knocked the glue over onto our hands."
"So you two were holding hands before?"
"What? No we weren't, what do you me-" Daniel stops.
"Wait... Are you.. Jealous?" He says.
I feel my face start to heat up.
"Wha-What? Jealous, no I'm... I'm just wondering if you were holding hands before because... Well because..." I try to think of the rights words but can't. "Just forget about it, okay?" I try to storm away but Daniel grabs my arm.
"Regina what's wrong?" He asks me.
"I don't want to talk about it, okay?!" I say trying to hide my anger, already feelings tears streaming down my face, I ran back into my room, I heard Daniel chasing after me, but I didn't care, I didn't look back, I just ran into my room and shut the door, but that was a mistake.
"Hey Reg- What's wrong?" Melvin asked me.
Crap, I forgot he was in here.
"Ugh, why does everyone keep asking me that?!" I say and leave the room again, opening the door and pushing past Daniel. I decided the only other place to go was outside, so I grabbed a jacket, my purse, and put on some shoes then left. I didn't know where I was going to go, but I was just going to go somewhere.

9:18pm

It was freezing outside. You'd think since we're in LA it would be hot, but it's absolutely freezing at night. I was just walking in the park, I had a kunai on me just incase.
I started to walk back to the safe house, but as I was a couple of blocks away, I felt someone tap my shoulders and say my name.
"Regina?" Someone mysterious said.
"Wha-Who are you?" I demanded, holding onto my kunai securely.
"Ah! Geez, it's just me, Regina." They said. Ohh, it was Melvin.
"Oh my god, Melvin! Don't sneak up on me like that!" I told him.
"I was looking for you for like 20 minutes now, why didn't you answer any of my calls?"
"My phone was on silent." I say as we walk towards the safe house.
"Okay." He says and we walk in silence for a few more minutes.
"Hey," Melvin starts, "why were you crying earlier?"
Dang it, I knew it would come to this.
"Do we have to talk about it?" I asked.
"Yes, we do, I want to make sure you're okay." He tells me.
"Well I'm fine."
"I know you're not."
"How do you know that?" I persisted.
"Because, you're my sister, and I know your secret."
"Huh?"
