Today is a Friday. Which means tomorrow is a Saturday. And the day after that is a Sunday. And after that ... well, we'll talk about that later.
Alex, Ray, and I sit in the bus together.
"Did you do the Eco homework?" I ask Alex.
"Yes, it was easy. You didn't?"
"It slipped my mind."
"Liar liar, pants on fire," Ray snickers from beside me.
"Okay, Ray," I admit, knowing he won't have it the other way. "I didn't feel like doing it."
"Of course you didn't sweetheart, the only thing you felt like doing yesterday night was me."
"Yeah, in your dreams Ray." I laugh.

I love Fridays, they're just so hopeful... it's like the Fridays are coming up and saying, "Hey, it's me again. Time to be happy because tomorrow you'll get to relax!"
Damn, I'm doing it again, thinking deeply about pointless things. I take my Eco books from my locker and walk towards my class.
I walk in and Mr Russel is standing in front of the class, looking really angry. Shit, I'm regretting not doing that Eco homework now.
"Children, please take out your homework and keep them on my table," he says coldly.
Literally, today the whole class decides to complete and submit the homework. Damn.
"I expect you all must've done it," he says in almost a Alan Rickman-Severus Snape way.
I try looking all sincere, as he stares at me.
"Cassie, stand up. Where is your homework?" He barks.
"I um," I think up of a million excuses, I'm so screwed I have to go to watch the movie Paper Towns today and I'm sure he is gonna give me detention, DAMN.
"Mr Russel?" Alex stands up.
"Yes Alex?"
"Cassie couldn't submit her homework because of me. I took it as I was confused about the question and I accidentally spilled coffee on it."
Dafuq.
"Is that true Cassie?" Mr Russel asks me.
I look at Alex, he nods. "Yes sir."
"Okay then, Cassie sit down. Alex, do this one more time and you'll get detention."
As the period finishes, I walk up to Alex.
"Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!" I say.
"Oh, it was nothing, I know how much that movie means to you."
"But seriously you risked detention so that I could watch a movie?"
"No, I wouldn't have gotten detention. It's the new kid-quota."
"Still, thanks! Now I gotta go, or else I'll miss the movie. Bye."
"Bye."

It is awesome, of course. There are a few hitches here and there, a few things that I'd expected would be in the film that were in the book, but that's okay. The casting is perfection, Nat Wolff is so hot the air-conditioned cinema seems to be sweating, Cara Delevigne is so pretty, it hurts. And her fake American accent? Don't get me started.
Per. Fec. Tion.
So later when the movie ends and I'm back home, Alex calls. I'm very surprised, that kid hardly calls, and after day one, he hasn't replied to my texts, so yes, this takes me by shock.
