As the drive continued, I did not expect that the car already stopped, "Aren't you getting off?" The unknown man questioned me, "Where are we?"

"Where did you bring me?" I questioned, leaving the car. My eyes immediately wandered, "It seems like your night went down to the drain because of someone, I brought you here to let out some air and relax,"

"Wait, where are we?" I asked; I do not even know him, I should at least know where I am, "You'll know when we get there, but first, come with me." He held my hand and dragged me towards the bushes.

I immediately felt strange; where was he taking me in these green surroundings? Also, the light left to guide us was only the full moon; negative thoughts filled my mind.

"Let me go!" I pulled away, but he was too strong, "You should tell me where are you taking me, it's already dark and we're in the middle of nowhere, you should at least explain,"

Without second thoughts, I could feel someone's arms wrapping around me, "Don't complain now, we're almost there. You should stay still and follow me, some bugs are active at night," With the mention of bugs, I leaned closer to him; there are only a few who knows that I am afraid of bugs, namely, my Mother and some boy who left me, "Just tell me where are we going. Are you sure we aren't lost, we've been walking for too long!" I complained.

Instead of replying, with the last swish of a branch, the light soon came to us, "Here we are," I was speechless for the view; I was at a loss for words, "Are you going to keep clinging onto me?" I did not realize that I was still snuggling at him.

"I don't mind you doing that," He teased; it completely sobered me up, "Now let me go," I pushed him, causing him to release me from his grasp.

No one spoke after we could only hear the rustling of the leaves as the wind blew, it was a chilly night, but all I could feel was warmth from the views. "I didn't know that there was a kind of view of the Land from this," I commented, the building lights and the busy street seemed like dots from our place, "Thank you, for bringing me here," I looked at him, but unexpectedly he was already looking at me.

He took his jacket off and placed it on me, "Wear this," I just smiled in return, "Don't you feel like we've met before?" His question caught me off guard.

As I was about to answer, my phone rang, taking me back to reality; it was an unknown caller. I could not ignore it since it may be a client of ours, "Hello?" I said to the line, "Sunny, it's me," My face fell.

Even in phone calls, he will also bother me? "Really, Manuel? Even in phone calls. Also, where did you get my phone number?" My forehead creased, "Who was the man who took you home. Tell me, Sunny?" Why is he even demanding answers?

"My actions doesn't concern you, Manuel Peris. We are already through, you are the one who wants us to get separated so stop chasing me now that I've gotten over you," I retorted, "Sunny, let's talk-" I could not hear what he was supposed to say when someone took my phone away.

It was him yet again, "Hello, Mister Peris," He started walking away. Is it his hobby to steal things away, "Hey, give me back my phone," I followed him?

He looked at me, gesturing with his forefinger pressing on his lips, telling me to keep quiet, "Who are you? This is Sunny's phone. Why are you on her phone?" I could hear Manuel's voice as he shouted, "I am well informed that Sunny already broke up with you. She's my woman now. Please stop bugging her and don't call her ever again,"

"What? Who do you think you are talk-" The man ended the call, "Your woman?" With a confused face, I looked at him.

"I only said it for your own good, just thank me, Miss. I helped you out in a situation," My eyebrows furrowed, "What?" I raised.

He chuckled, "You can just treat me to dinner in behalf of your thanks," I was still dumbfounded, but this man is already demanding his share, I cannot believe him, "Just what-" He walked out while I was talking and came back with a cooler.

As he opened it, the cooler was full of cans of beer. "I keep them for emergency purposes," He took out two and gave me one, "Thank you,"

We drank with no conversation. As the night soon progressed, there were no cans left, all empty. "I worked myself to the bone just to get him off," I started, "Do you often meet?" He returned a question.

"After he left me at the altar, I met him again today after three years and so," I replied, with a bitter smile on my face, "I should have kept my promise to never marry. All my love ends up getting smashed when we talk about marriage," I shook my head and drank up the last of the beer that was left in my can.

"Manuel, that man made me realize how important it is to love, however, you should at least spare yourself some love. I shouldn't have fell completely for him," I must be too drunk; why am I telling a stranger my story. "Why? What would happen if I completely love someone?" He turned to me.

"Don't end up like me, Mister. I almost went mad because of him, he was my whole world. However, destiny always interferes with my love," I shook my head and walked to the fence, "He betrayed me, the man I regarded as my whole world betrayed me, it's just like saying that your life fell apart the moment he did that."
