"Sunny!" The man's voice echoed across the halls, causing everyone to look in their direction, "Sunny!"
From afar, someone observed the pair, "Is something Mister Ferreiro?" The woman asked, "Coincidentally I know someone by that name," He continued looking at them, assessing if she was really the woman by that name.
"Please leave me alone, Manuel," She turned around, trying to calm herself, "Don't talk to me, just please," Sunny took a deep breath.
"Are you familiar with her, Mister Ferreiro?" He did not respond and continued to look at the woman, "She is Miss Sun Hee Kim. The Editor in Chief of The Bulletin, Ylury's leading business and finance publication." His gaze darted towards her; now, he was sure that she was the one whom he came back for.
"She's the same age as you, Mister Ferreiro," The woman continued explaining, "You might cross paths someday, you are both in the field of business and finance publication." He looked at her with anticipation.
"If you continue to trail me, I will surely call the security to show your way out," Sunny turned around; she was feeling embarrassed as some started to look at them, "Sunny..." Ludwig mumbled.
"Sunny, I will move to the Land of Bramor, my Father requested us to be in his presence," A crying Luigi faced Sunny. "You should wait for me, I will come back for you and you shouldn't get married with anyone else," He continued as he sobbed.
"I understand, however, you should mention that topic about marriage, I told you that I won't get married," She retorted with her arms crossed, "You can promise your vows and dedication to the girl you love, and it's not me, you can leave me here," She pouted, shoving him away.
"Luigi, is something wrong?" Tristan, the party host, questioned his friend, "Nothing, excuse me for awhile," He turned around and walked away.
"Luigi," He called out, "Where are you going?" He completely ignored the man and ran off.
He walked towards the bar corner where Sunny was drinking; as she was about to take another shot, Luigi immediately took it away from her before the rim of the glass could touch her lips.
"I told you to leave me alone, Manuel, I've already moved on from you and I do not want to be bother by you anymore," She uttered, "Just leave-" Sunny could not t finish her statement when she saw that it was a different man as she turned around.
"You drank too much Miss, the night is just getting started," Luigi said to her as he drank the liquor, "Don't drink too much strong beverages," Sunny was dazed as she saw the dazzling man.
She then composed herself, thanks to the reminder of the man, she was reminded that she came here to look for Ludwig Ferreiro, she came here for work and nothing more, but seeing her former lover made her night feel bad.
Sunny stood up, holding at his broad shoulder, guiding herself up; she soon patted his shoulder, "Thank you," She smiled, "However, what I drink does not concern you, I came here for work purposes, please don't hit on me, you're way too obvious," She snickered and turned around leaving the man.
The night felt longer as two men appeared before her eyes, one was an eyesore bringing up something that happened years ago, and the other was a fairly handsome man who concerns himself with one's matters.
Luigi fell in shock; he expected that she would not recognize her, but not to this extent that the woman would find him strange. He looked at her as she staggered; in his thoughts, Sunny must have drunk too much.
Sunny looked for her secretary, and there she was with a man at the counter; she shook her head and left her alone; it seemed like her purpose to find the famed financier went to waste because of an interruption.
She walked to the exit and looked for her service; as she was about to cross the road, a car cut her off and parked in front of her; with a creased forehead, she was ready to throw her hands at the driver.
The window of the car lowered and appear a familiar face, it must be because of the liquor that was taking a toll on her body because she could not recognize the man, but Sunny was sure that she had seen him somewhere.
"Hi, Miss," He smiled at her warmly, "What, who are you?" She replied with her eyebrows raised.
"Now you even forgot about me, I can't believe this woman," He shook his head and sighed; Sunny soon recognized him, "Oh! You're that nosy man earlier, you took my drink away!" She pointed her fingers at her.
"What?" He questioned, "Do I look that bad in front of you? I even dressed well for the event-" Luigi could not finish his statement when someone called out.
"Sunny!" It was yet again his former lover; both of them looked in his direction as he headed towards her, "Manuel, not again. Why are you even following me up until now!" Her voice sounded irritated.
"Should I take you home?" He offered, getting out of the car and opening the door beside him, "Hurry up, or would you like him to take you home," He scoffed, pertaining to the former lover that was chasing her off.
"Sunny, wait!" He shouted, running. "Kim Sun Hee, I told you, let's talk for a while, I need to do some explaining," He panted.
"I don't need your explanations, also, your actions at the altar already spoken for you, that is enough evidence for me," She stated, entering the car, "Sunny, wait," Luigi did not heed attention to the man anymore, he shut the door close and entered the driver's seat.
"Let's go," She did not pay any attention to the man and just leaned at the window. "Kim Sun Hee!" Manuel continued; he was running, catching up to the car.
