"Sun Hee," My Mother called out to me in a stern voice, "Yes," I answered her.

This situation was not supposed to happen, never in my life, once I lived quietly, "I already talked to you about behaving yourselves, just how many times do you plan to disobey me?" She questioned, "Forgive me Mother, you may be right but I have no intention to do such irrational acts,"

"You should focus on making your life better. I am doing my best to find yourself a capable man to live by your side, can't you see that I am doing this for your sake." Mother retorted, "Do something about yourself, Sun Hee,"

I took a deep breath, composing myself. Others might have misconceptions about us, but I lived a luxurious lifestyle because of my Father when I was young. He was a manager of a famous agency.

My Mother was a receptionist in a hotel where they met; I grew up in a good family and loved splurging on things that would make me look pretty, which involved dressing up and styling myself.

However, when I entered the academy, My Father's company went bankrupt, which led to my Father being fired; he would always drink and mess around with my Mother.

No matter how much Mother loved my Father, they ended up separating because of my Father's actions; we soon moved to Eastern Ylury, at Maple Leaf Route. That is where I met Luigi, who was lived across the street.

I had to help my Mother and tried not to be a burden to her; that is where I started to care less about what was happening around me. I heard from the Adults talking that Luigi's Father and Mother were not legally married. That is the reason why Luigi carried her Mother's surname instead of his Father's.

When I learned that he would move far away from me because of his Father, I vented out my anger on him on our birthday; even when he was leaving, I shouted and told him never to come back. In the end, I was the foolish one; I ended up regretting what I said to him.

"I do not care how you will live you life but in terms of marriage, I want you to marry a capable and independent man who will take care of you," She stated, holding my hand. My gaze lowered, "I understand,"

"Come along, show me to your room," She requested, pulling me from the seat, "I want you to show me how will you live your life," I nodded.

"Then, if you'll excuse me," I walked past her and guided her to my room; my stuff was still in boxes, "I'm putting these here," She gave me a towel.

"Take care of yourself," She added, "I understand where you are coming from Sun Hee, others may look up to you and sees you as the famous editor in chief from a renowned company, however, no matter what they see, you are still my child and nothing would change that,"

"I know, Mother," I responded, walking to the boxes, "Put more faith into yourself, and be careful on your decision,"

"Yes," I said to her, "Just be your usual self, and smile as you did back then. Don't get shaken up over trivial things and get used to living here,"

Mother and I used to get close, we often shared secrets, but when I sometimes felt too much, I would be the one to distance myself first. Things might get personal sometimes, but no matter how hard I try, even if we turn the world upside down, nothing could change that she is my Mother.

"I am only doing what's the best for you," She continued, "I hope you get things right, don't make a big deal on whatever Luigi does, he's grown so much,"

I was about to reply when someone knocked, revealing it to be Luigi, who was staring at us as he leaned at the door. This man might be scheming something, "Sunny, you can sleep at one of the vacant room, you can arrange your things tomorrow, I do not want you to deal with this mess," He walked to us, "Let's go and release those stuff, someone will take care of them for you,"

Mother and I nodded and made our way back to the living room; wine was served at the table. Seeing alcoholic beverages makes me want to leave; I do not want to make any drunken mistakes that will lead to embarrassment later on.

"Luigi, do you have someone in your heart, perhaps, a lover?" I almost choked at Mother's question; she dared to ask such personal question, even in the interview, I did not ask it not to make him feel awkward even if the question belonged to the most requested section, "None," He smiled at us and sipped his wine.

"You shouldn't worry about it, men always marries late. Your Mother also contacted me to introduce you to women that might suit your taste, she even told me not to introduce you to funky women," Luigi laughed at my Mother's statement, "Is that so?" He returned.

"Mother, you're making him uncomfortable," I gazed at Mother for a second and went back to drink the wine. I took a deep breath and straightened myself, "I think it's time for the two of you to do the talking, as expected, I cannot leave my things to other, I will do the work and will sleep late tonight," I stood up, placing the wine glass on the table.

"Sun Hee," Mother called out for me, "What?" I faced her.

She shook her head and smiled, "Nothing, be careful," It seemed strange to me, but I just shrugged the thought, "Thank you," I responded and walked out of the living room.

The thing that irritates me the most is others touching my things; nothing could make me angrier knowing that they touched my property; just the thought of it drives me mad.
