Mukti knows she is pushing Nandini way too hard. She knows that the younger hates working out and always listens to her complaints. But since the day they met, Mukti has never forced the younger to do anything that she hates. 

Even joining the gang, Mukti never wanted Nandini to fall into this hell hole but she had no other choice back then.

 At her best, Mukti made sure at least Nandini stays safe and won't be troubled.

But these days everything is changing, Mukti is seeing that. 

Those fucked up higher-ups who call themselves as King Cobras, they're fighting among them too much. Not like combat, but they are fighting at their level and with their means, as in not investing in the business or not supporting fully in politics. 

Things like this don't come in news, but Mukti knows, she can feel the shift. Those rich men are arguing for more power, some are even trying to join other gangs to support them. 

Which is not a good thing.

Betrayal is not taken easily in this gang world and if you got caught, it's a straight ticket to hell. And with that mess, more petty fights are increasing, just to distract the gang members. It's not like they need a reason to get into fights, these gang men are easily provoked. Always high on some shit and arrogant. 

This is the type of bullshit Mukti has to deal with daily. 

Every day she gets to know that someone from their own gang got hurt in the hands of small gang members and it is unusual. Before no one used to touch them, but now, something bad is always happening.

Nandini doesn't about all of this, she is a runner, so she is not usually involved in these matters and Mukti is not the person who will tell her about all of this fucked up things. She sucks at communicating.

It's not like Mukti can always make sure the younger is safe all the time but at least Mukti can make sure Nandini can protect herself. Because Mukti herself is not sure if she can protect her own life, if she is gone, there will be no one to look after her baby bear.

That's why, all of these hardcore pieces of training. She just wants the younger to be stronger, if she stays soft like this, this world will break her even more. This place doesn't deserve Nandini's innocence and kindness. 

That broken child even after all of this, still has a big heart and Mukti is afraid someone might take away that too.

Even today, Mukti and her gang got into yet another fight, this time with the Reds. There are big red moon tattoos on their arms, all of them too young to be in a gang. Mukti and her members, even though they are less in numbers, they all can fight hard and be ruthless. But the reds got help in the middle of the fight, thus they got the upper hand. 

Mukti and other members barely got out of the fight, they won but it's a tough fight. One of them from her gang got hurt badly while all of them got several bruises and wounds.

Mukti came home early because of the fight. After telling the others to get treatment at the den, she came straight to home for some well-deserved rest. 

But Nandini's not home. 

Of course, Mukti got panicked as she spend the time there waiting for the younger. Nandini should be home, it's been hours. The clock kept ticking but still, she is not here. She tried to call her, it is continuously coming out of coverage.

After dressing her own wounds, this wound is going to leave a scar, Mukti cursed as she looked at it. Then she changed her clothes and went out to look for Nandini, the younger's favorite spot in a park or at her friends' or den's, she tried to look everywhere, called Sarah and others also.
