Lesson Five: Find a Safe Place
Okay, so maybe you don't come from someplace where it's dangerous. So? Who are you going to go to if you're feeling down? Where are you going to go when you're feeling stressed? Who or what or where makes you feel secure?
Let's say you are. Well, I myself do not have personal experience, and I am very grateful for that. But that doesn't mean I haven't ever had someone who hasn't had my fortune, and it doesn't mean I can't offer advice.
Do you have someone you trust? If you don't seek them out. That person is an important person. Even in the life of someone like me, they are important. Do you have a spot where you are safe. It could be anywhere. If not, find it. Who or what or where makes you feel secure?
Safe places are not always the easiest to find. We can take that in anyway. Spritually, emotionally, physcially, verbally, mentally. Literally any way.
I offer my DM's as a safe place. I do have friends with family issues, gender / identity issues, or just everyday issues. I'm never going to judge you.
And don't worry, I have my safe places. I promise I'm doing alright. If I weren't, I'd go to those people I know I can trust.
You guys deserve to feel happy. Everyone does. It's nice to have someone to lean on when things are heavy.
I love you all. I'm sorry if this chapter was a bit... scattered? Eh, my thoughts are spinning in circles right now. And I'm just a bit tired. But that's fine. It's what you get after a day of babysitting children :3
I'll see you all tomorrow!
