Aźgiça od-Žigma-in-Méjèsŝ pri-Ås (IX) arrives in her Cross-Over-Vehicle (COV), which takes on the form of an automobile, in the outskirts of a coastal resort town called Burne. As Aźgiça od-Žigma-in-Méjèsŝ pri-Ås (IX) is unconscious from her journey, the Voice Interface Computer, abbreviated as VIC, immediately launches a constellation of zeptosatellites to intercept radio transmissions to gather information of their new environment.
When Aźgiça od-Žigma-in-Méjèsŝ pri-Ås (IX) awakens, VIC informs her that long range radio broadcasts are apparently rare at this time, so there is limited information available. In the cosmic cycle that they have entered, things for the most part appear to be the same. However, names and terminology are slightly different. For example, the planet is referred to as Gaia, not Earth, in the English language. Traveling into town, Aźgiça od-Žigma-in-Méjèsŝ pri-Ås (IX) adopts the alias of Tarina Eaton and begins to counterfeit money.
