Jessie Burle-Marx receives an invitation in the mail.  She is invited to a public diplomacy event hosted by the Secretariat of External Affairs celebrating the twenty-fifth anniversary of the elimination of trade barriers for industrial and agricultural goods between Columbia and Pindorama.  Burle-Marx's uncle is the resident representative for Pindorama and has included her as a member of his party for this event.
