As soon as the Lizard charged us, we jumped in the air. He slid past us like a raging bull. We swung sideways, each in the opposite directions, and I let loose a couple of web bombs, a new feature of my new suit. The web bombs hit the Lizard on the back and exploded, covering his back with webs. He staggered forwards and then turned towards me. He jumped up with inhuman speed and caught my ankle as I tried to swing away. As soon as he caught me, Tobey came from the side, swinging into the Lizard's face. He let go of me and I fell to the floor.
"Get him in the corner!" Dr.Strange shouted from somewhere. I looked around and saw him on one of the corners, chanting, while a blue force-field was extending from the box that he holds in his hands.
I quickly got up, and immediately Andrew shot out two slings of webs at the Lizard's face, temporarily blinding him. At that instant, police cars came up to the road we were fighting on.
They got out of their vehicles, and started shouting over their microphone: "This is the NYPD! We require you to stop the fight, or we will be forced to intervene."
I looked at Dr.Strange, who nodded towards me and rushed towards the police. The blue force field hung in the air and so did the box.
By that time the Lizard had recovered and rushed towards me. I jumped over his head, but he was quick. He caught me by my leg and threw me hard. I landed on my back, and a sharp pain shot through my ribs (again!). I felt blood coming out my nose and a split lip.
Tobey and Andrew came from behind and webbed the Lizard up from behind. He snarled and broke free almost immediately. He rushed the other two. Tobey managed to get away, but Andrew was not that lucky. He got the same treatment as I did, and now I could see him lying on the road, hands clenched on his stomachs.
"What's wrong Peter Parker? You tired already?" Lizard taunted.
Tobey perched on top of a street lamp. I could see the police had backed up, thanks to Strange. I tried to get up, but it hurt too much. Just when we thought things could not get any worse, that laugh came out again.
I could feel Tobey tense from here. "Everybody run!" he shouted but I could not move. I could see Andrew was having the same problem.
I closed my eyes and waited for the bomb to hit.
