Each second passed like an hour, but the blast never came. I opened my eyes and saw the Lizard standing a few feet away. He gave a loud laugh, as I struggled to get up. Tobey came down immediately, and Andrew managed to get up and stagger towards us. Seeing them gave me another rush of strength and I managed to get up too.
Dr. Strange was there in a matter of seconds.
Just at that moment, something descended from the sky. It was a man in a green suit, riding on a hoverboard that flew. He gave that loud laugh that chilled my bones. Blood trickled down my nose, and my chest hurt like hell.
The man in green hovered just above the Lizard but did not attack him.
"Green Goblin! What do you want?"
"The itsy bitsy Spider climbed up the water spout. Down came the Goblin and took the Spider out." He replied before he let out another low laugh.
The Lizard replied, "Don't you see Spider-Man! We are here to kill you. When the gateway opened, someone else summoned us here. Someone who wants you dead as much as we want you dead."
"Who? Tell us?" I screamed.
The Lizard let out another laugh. "Until next time Spiderman!" he said before the Green Goblin extended a hand towards him and as the Lizard dangled from his hand, rose to the sky and flew away into the night.
Tobey started to follow, but Dr. Strange did not allow it.
"Not now Tobey! We got to get the others to the Sanctum."
He opened another portal, and we staggered through to the Sanctum.
As soon as we reached the Sanctum, I fell and lost consciousness.
Andrew's Peter POV
Similar to Peter, I too lost my consciousness when we reached the Sanctum. But unlike him, I woke up soon. When I woke up, I was in a bed in the infirmary of the Sanctum. I looked around and saw Peter two beds away from me. MJ sat beside him. The others were not here. Seeing MJ and Peter reminded me painfully of Gwen.
I shook my head slowly, trying to push thoughts of her away from my head. I sat up and saw they had bandaged my head. There was a slight throbbing pain in my head and my chest, and my hand had a cut from the elbow to the palm, which was bandaged. Other than that, I was fine.
As soon as MJ noticed I was awake, she ran and got the others. Tobey was the first to come, followed by Strange and Ned.
"How are you, Andrew?" Tobey asked.
"I am fine. This is nothing." I replied.
He nodded as he understood. Dr. Strange came up to me and stood beside my bed. Peter was still not awake.
"So what's our plan?" I asked.
"We have been trying to locate the Goblin all night. It's not going to be easy." Tobey replied.
"I know it's not going to be easy. I am not that dumb man." I said with a snort.
"Well, we can see that," Tobey replied with a smile. I smiled back.
"The prison. We can use that to bait them." I suggested.
Dr.Strange thought about it for a moment before replying: "Yes that could work. They might try to get Electro out."
"Ok then let's go!" I said, but as soon as I tried to get up, my chest screamed and I fell back.
"Lie down spidey!" Tobey said. "You have bruised two ribs. Nothing is broken but you need to rest today. We go tomorrow."
Just that instant, something buzzed in Ned's phone.
"It's Pepper. She says to turn the TV on." He said.
MJ got the remote and turned it on. The face of Norman Osborn, from the previous night, came up.
"Before this, I got to tell you guys that this guy, Osborn, is actually Green Goblin. In my world."
"WHAT?" I asked.
"Yeah. Though you guys needed to know."
I looked towards Strange, and he voiced my thought. "Do you guys think he is the one who summoned the others?"
Tobey nodded, and so did I.
This did not look good.
