Third Person's POV:

It's the day of Midterm Exams, everyone's looking forward to it. Waiting for the results of their endless studying.

(Y/N) was busy trying to memorize some calculus and trigonometry formulas while her blue haired friend was helping her.

Julia's eyes saw a familiar goof that wears red, hands in his pockets.

He was the reason why she had to stay up all night helping her roommate calm down and the reason why her roommate is crying.

She walked past him, intentionally bumping his shoulder which made him stumble a bit.

(Y/N) saw this and rushed up to her side, giving Max an apologetic look before quickly looking away. Scared that he might yell at her again.

The black haired boy saw her tear stained face and bloodshot eyes. He felt a sudden wave of guilt but pushed it aside, still angry that she was the reason why they almost didn't get to join in the semifinals.

Max looked down at the floor with a glare, hoping no one talks to him about him getting beaten by his father in the only thing he was looking forward to in college or simply just his father.

"Maxie!"

Goofy placed a hand on his son's shoulder, stopping him from walking away.

His son looked at him with a glare as he continued, "I've been looking all over for you, son! Where you been?"

Max looked away, not taking a chance to look at his dad's apologetic expression.

"I can't tell you how sorry I am..."

"Oh, save your breath!" The young Goof turned to his father, getting in his face.

"You may have won this time, but dad!" He groaned, "This campus is just not big enough for the both of us."

Goofy frowned, "I didn't mean for it to turn out this way, Max. I was just trying to get closer to you.."

His son groaned again, shaking his head. "Don't you get it?! I'm trying to get away from you! I'm not a little kid anymore! Now just leave me alone and get your own life!"

Max stomped inside the classroom, not looking back at his father. Goofy sighed, looking down at the floor.

~~~
"Well good morning, people." The professor greeted, scanning over the students.
Bobby, PJ, and Max sat at the second to the back seats, while the girl who was supposed to be in their group was with her blue haired friend by the front seats that are at the right of the teacher.
A vacant seat next to the aisle can be seen, the student presumably late.
"It would appear that it is time to start! You may open-" The professor was cut off by the sound of the doors opening, a sour look on his face as the student walks down the stairs.
"Mr. Goof, nice of you to join us today."
"Huh? Oh yeah.. Right..." Goofy looked at the teacher, squinting his eyes to see clearly. His eyes were tired, like he was just finished crying. Which he did.
"You may open your envelopes and begin!" The professor instructed, almost all the students simultaneously did what they were told.
~~~

Time seemed to go by so fast, (Y/N) was already on her last questionnaire. Julia, who was next to her, was tapping her pencil on the desk trying not to get tempted in looking at her friend's papers.

"Last five minutes!" The professor announced, making some students panic. One of them is Julia.

The blue haired girl was starting to contemplate about guessing everything or just copying from the guy beside her.

She looked at his paper and saw that he was speedrunning the questions while guessing the answers.

Julia sighed and slumped down in her seat, a pout on her face.

She felt a tap on her thigh and looked to see (Y/N) silently and carefully showing her answers to her friend.

The blue haired girl felt like her heart warming up and tears were welling up in her eyes.

'Bless this woman beside me, I pray she gets the best in her lifetime.' Julia thought and quickly jotted down the answers on her answer sheet.

As the (H/C) haired girl waited for her friend to finish and for time to pass by, her (E/C) eyes wandered over the students and landed on someone very dear to her.

Max was busy playing with his pencil as he waited for the professor to tell them that they can finally leave.

He felt like someone was staring at him and looked around, (Y/N) managed to successfully look away in time.

His eyes landed on the girl he was wishing for to be his since high school and felt an overwhelming feeling in his chest. It was like his heart cracked, especially when he can't get the image of her tear stained face out of his mind.

I did that...

I broke her heart...

She didn't deserve to get yelled at and be kicked out from the team...

By me...

Max sighed and looked back down on his paper, a doodle of him and (Y/N) at the corner of the answer sheet with a heart around them.

She's not going to get hurt anymore, because I'm transferring out...

"Pencils down! You may now collect your things and leave. Don't forget to pass the questionnaires and answer sheets before getting out those doors!"

All of the students got up and walked down the stairs to hand in their papers.

Max gave his papers to the professor before someone bumped into him.

"Max, I-I..."

The young Goof stood in front of the person who ran into him, the glare he was giving fades.

"I'm sorry... For, uh, everything..." (Y/N) looked down at her feet, not knowing what to do or say next.

"Listen, I-"

"(Y/N)!" The two of them looked up and saw Julia, her arms crossed in front of her chest.

She came down a few steps and grabbed her friend's hand, glaring up at Max making him stand there awkwardly. "Let's go."

"Oh, yeah..." The (H/C) haired girl looked back, giving him an apologetic look again.

Max looked down at his feet and sighed, his heart breaking as every second goes by.
