(No ones pov)
Kaeya was sleeping in bed peacefully next to his partner Akua when he heard sudden mumbling coming from his boyfriends side of the bed he groaned and opened his eyes turning around to face his boyfriend who was not only visibly shaking and crying but also mumbling something. Kaeya shook Akua awake till he woke up and instantly sat up widened eyes looking around. "Hey hey hey Akua calm down your okay!" Kaeya reassures him, Akua looks over and hugs Kaeya crying into his shoulder. Kaeya worriedly held Akua in his embrace whispering on about how "she's ok" and "whatever it was it was just a dream". Soon Akua let go and whipped his tears.
"S-sorry for waking you up Kaeya you can go back to sleep I'll be-" Akua was cut off when Kaeya pulled him back into his embrace.
"You know I hate when you put up a front like that acting as if your okay when your not... how about you tell me about your dream." Kaeya explained holding Akua close to him. Akua started tearing up again but went along and told him.
(In his dream)
Akua and Kaeya were walking back to Mondstat after Kaeya helped him with some commissions. As the two were walking they got ambushed by two abyss mages one was cryo and the other was pyro. While they were fighting Akua heard Kaeya yell out in pain the cryo mage had sent an icicle straight through Kaeyas side he fell to the ground not moving. Akua ran over to his side but when he looked up the abyss mages where gone he didn't care though all he cared about was Kaeya staying alive. He put pressure on Kaeyas wound and he was crying more then Kaeya was. "Kaeya you'll be okay alright we just have to get you back to mondstat and-" Akua was cut of by a soft hand touching his face.
"Akua there's no saving me just promise me you'll move on." Kaeya said a smile on his face.
"No no no Kaeya please. I can't lose you too!" Akua pleaded holding the dying man in his arms.
"Akua stop you have to let me go... I love you." And with that Kaeyas arm fell limp and the light in his vision went out.
"No! No! Kaeya wake up please." Akua didn't get a response from the other, he held Kaeyas cold body close to him crying.
(No longer in dream)
After Akua explained that tears rolled down his face again just thinking about how realistic it felt scared them. Kaeya cupped Akua's face and whipped a few of his tears, "Hey Akua I'm okay your okay we're both fine please stop crying." Kaeya said kissing his forehead. "I promise I won't leave you."
