It had been a long, looooooooooong day and Tubbo really wanted to just go home and relax with his parents.

He stepped onto the street and all of his neighbours were running around frantically, as if they were running away from something...

Tubbo saw the next-door neighbour and walked up to her. She calmed Tubbo slightly as she was staring at something, not running away, but just watching.

She was a middle aged woman, about late thirties early forties, and she had long brown hair. It was always in a loose ponytail and her clothes were always up to date with the latest fashion trends. Even though she wasn't the youngest, she looked like she was a teenager.

"Mrs H, what's going on?" Tubbo asked, trying to look in the direction she was.

She snapped out of her trance and looked down at the boy. She gave him a sympathetic look and placed a hand on the smaller boy's shoulder.

"I am so sorry sweet pea..." She pointed towards Tubbo's house. The door was swinging off of it's hinges and the windows were smashed. Someone had obviously broken in.

"Mumma... Papa..." Tubbo mumbled, Mrs H hearing him.

"Tubbo... TUBBO NO!" She tried to grab his arm as he started running towards the house but she missed. She wasn't going to chase after him though, he needed to know what was going on, he wasn't a baby anymore.

Tubbo kicked down the door and ran in, yelling for his parents.

"MUMMA, PAPA!!!"" Tubbo kept yelling, tears brewing in his eyes.

After a few minutes of searching, Mrs H walked in, placing a hand on Tubbo's back and catching him as he fell to his knees, pulling him into a hug.

"Tubbo, your parents were taken away in an ambulance. They tried to save them but it was too late, their wounds were too severe and they had been left there for too long. I am so sorry..."

"What happened, why does it look like this?" Tubbo asked, looking around his now ruined house.

"Someone broke in. I heard all the ruckus but I had just assumed that your parents were in another fi-" She stopped herself, however she knew Tubbo had heard it.

"They fought?"

"A lot," She said "They pretended they were the best when you were there, to save you the drama, but when you were gone, all that I could hear was shouting and screaming... I'm so sorry my baby..."

"Thank you Mrs H..." Tubbo wiped his eyes and stood up with the help of Mrs H.

"Tubbo, I know this is all of a sudden and everything so if you want to get out of this place then I wouldn't blame you. However, if you do decide you want to stay, the my house is always here if you need somewhere to stay." She brought him into another emotional hug, but he didn't like this one. It was too sappy, he just wanted to run until he found a quiet area where he wouldn't disturb anyone.

And scream.

And scream and scream and scream and scream until his voice went hoarse.

So that's what he did.

He ran out of Mrs H's arms and ran and ran and ran until he knew he was far enough away from the neighbourhood for him to not be heard.

And he screamed the loudest he had ever, letting everything out. His tears dripped down, mixing with the muddy puddles on the floor. Until, of course, someone had to hear him.

"Tubbo...?" Tubbo swung around in the rain, seeing his soulmate right there, standing in front of him.

Tubbo could only say "Ranboo..." before running into Ranboo's arms, Ranboo holding him tightly, using his tall body to shield him for the rain.

"Let's get you inside so we can get you warm and dry." Ranboo walked with Tubbo, whose knees were wobbling like jelly. Once Ranboo saw this, he picked him up and carried him into the house.

Ranboo lived in a shared house with a few other people who Tubbo didn't know. Ranboo very quietly brought him inside, covering his eyes to shield him from the messy state of the rest of the house, however he could still see the different take-away boxes piled up on top of one another.

Once they walked into Ranboo's room though, it was a whole different story. His room was neat and tidy, everything being dusted, his books laid in neat rows on the shelves, pictures with clean frames, his bed made neat and tidy. Tubbo didn't feel like he belonged in this house.

"Wow..." Tubbo looked around, standing in the doorway once Ranboo had placed him down.

"It's not the best, but it's home. Anyways, i'm gonna get you some warm blankets and clothes, then I'll make you some food and drink. You go and sit down, don't worry about getting anything messy, it only takes a few seconds to clean up." Ranboo gave him a little smile and walked out of the room.

Tubbo walked around the room, staring at pictures and books. There was one picture that Tubbo found intriguing. He sat down in front of it and stared, looking at the three people in the picture.

"Who are these people?" Tubbo asked Ranboo once he had walked back in, his arms filled with warm blankets and clean clothes for him to wear.

"That was me and my parents, before they... y'know." Ranboo helped Tubbo take his clothes off and helped him get into the clean fresh ones. He had to borrow some joggers from his friend because he knew his would not fit Tubbo, but with hoodies he just gave him one of his own, it didn't matter anyways. It fell to just below his knees and made him look even smaller than he actually was.

"Now, it's my turn to ask you a question. Why did I see you in a field, screaming and crying like the world was ending?" Ranboo asked, wrapping a blanket around Tubbo.

For a while, all that could be heard was the rain thumping on the glass window. The curtains were open and it was getting dark, however as the sun was not visible, it looked like it already was dark.

"There were some people, and they... um..." Tubbo tried, but he couldn't managed to speak.

"It's ok Tubbo, take your time, there's no need to rush." Ranboo rubbed his back.

"There were some people, they came into our house when I was at school and they um..." Tubbo made a motion with his hands, not wanting to say what happened to spare him the tears.

"Oh god Tubbo..." He pulled Tubbo into his lap and wrapped his arms around him.

"They killed my parents Ranboo, they're gone..." It finally rendered in his head. They were gone...

Forever...
