10~ Here We Go Again

i'm skipping Jason leaving Camp Jupiter because I'm impatient :D

ps, sorry for not updating!! i've been really, REALLY busy. no joke. would i lie to you?

Piper was helping a new camper find a weapon of her own. Her name was Katelin, she was only ten, and it was her first day at camp. With light brown hair in two perfect braids, Katelin was adorable. Adorable is an understatement, Piper thought as she handed the little girl a knife.

"How about this one?" she prodded, watching as Katelin grasped the handle. Behind her, she could hear Percy and Annabeth talking, though she didn't bother to figure out what they were saying.

Katelin looked very serious as she examined the blade. "I don't know..." she muttered, her voice trailing off. Beside Piper, Percy had walked off, smiling his 'hey-there-I'm-the-most-popular-guy-at-camp-but-I never- act-like-it' smile.

"How do you like that one?" he asked the little girl, kneeling down to her height. Annabeth appeared beside him, smiling at her boyfriend. Piper had noticed that she had become so much happier since the war ended, and that she rarely left his side.

Just like Jason, Piper thought sarcastically to herself, and began to stare at her shoes.

"Too small," Katelin said, shrugging. Then she blushed quickly, saying, "I mean, it's perfect."

Annabeth knelt down next to Percy. "Sweetie, it's absolutely necessary that you have the perfect weapon."

Piper was shocked she had called someone Sweetie.

"Okay," Katelin said, and twisted her lips in thought. "I want a sword!" She pointed at Riptide, which hung at Percy hip.

Percy was astonded. "Really?"

Suddenly, Nico ran into the armory, a huge grin plastered on his face. Piper hadn't seen him that happy since they resuced Percy and Annabeth from Tartarus.

"GUYS GUYS GUYS!" he shouted, breathless, and grabbed Piper's shoulder. She held her arm out as a reflex, but his fingers gripped her shirt. "Piper! Jason's back!"

The crowd parted for Piper, a lot of them still staring at Jason. His blond hair was the same, as well as everything about him. Piper even decided that he was still wearing the same Camp Half Blood t-shirt as the one he left in.

"Jason?" she squeeked as the last camper moved aside for her. He looked so sorry, so depressed.

"Hey," he said quietly. She wondered how in the world he had gotten here, but didn't have the courage to ask.

Suddenly, anger boiled in Piper''s heart. He didn't have to come back to her. For the first week of her life, she had missed someone so much and had, get this, survived. She realized in one week that she did not need someone to lean on. I really am Supergirl.

She marched right up to him and slapped him acrossed the face. Twice. A gasp exploded from the campers, but no one came to his rescue.

But Supergirls need accesories, right?

So she grabbed his shirt and pulled his lips down the hers, the ones that she had missed so much. The ones her heart had nearly combusted over. The ones that were surprised as she kissed him lightly.

"You are so... so-" she started, but couldn't finish her sentence. He was selfish, and stupid, and a douche bag, and just an overall terrible boyfriend. He had kissed another girl - kissed another girl! - and yet, he was so him, Piper couldn't resist.

"Stupid, I know," he muttered, and enveloped her into his arms. She leaned into him, balling up his shirt in her fists as she clung to him. "I'm so sorry," he whispered, over and over again. So much so, Piper lost count.

But she believed him every time he said it.

"Why did you kiss her?" she asked into his neck, then leaned away to look into his sky blue eyes.

"She kissed me," he told her, and closed his eyes. "Katoptris?"

She leaned into his chest again, willing herself not to cry.

"Here we go again," she heard Annabeth mutter, and feet were shuffling away.

Yeah, Piper whispered to herself. Here we go again. And again. And again.

"I've been tired

The minute I woke,

I stopped listening
