Piper was resting in her cabin when Jason came in. Of course, she was dressed, but seeing her boyfriend in her cabin always made her nervous.

"Whoa!" he said, his mouth hanging open. "Since when did you guys have a flat-screen?"

Piper smirked, turning her head back to Pretty Little Liars. Since she was, as Drew put it, 'Queen of the Princesses,' everyone had agreed to putting the TV directly in front of her bed. No one, however, had agreed to her being 'Queen of the Princesses.'

"Seriously, did Leo make this for you? It's freaking awesome-"

"C'mere," she half asked, half ordered, and lifted the edge of her blanket. Jason shook his head, instead sitting cross-legged on the floor -- right between her legs. Piper thought it was a little awkward (later she admitted to herself that it was very awkward), but ran her fingers through his hair.

"I didn't know you actually watched this kind of stuff," he muttered, shaking his head at the screen. But Piper wasn't watching her favorite show anymore. She leaned forward, letting her hair fall of her shoulder as she kissed his forehead. She would much rather pay attention to her favorite guy.

"What was that for?" he murmured, tilting his head back. She smiled, gazing into his upside-down lightning eyes. They were more intense than usual.

She shook her head, not knowing the answer.

Jason lifted his hand, gently curling his fingers around the back of her neck, and pulled her closer. She had never kissed a boy upside-down before, but there's a first for everything, right?

His lips felt... strange. But Piper didn't complain. A kiss was a kiss, and that one just so happened to be upside-down.

They pulled away. "Never have I ever kissed someone like that," Jason said, grinning.

Piper smiled back. His thumb stroked the top of her spine, and shivers laced themselves through her bones. She touched his jawline with her fingertips.

"That tickles," he commented, his voice soft. She didn't pull her hand away.

She kissed him again, smiling, and leaned back onto her bed. She closed her eyes, but she could hear Jason stand. The bed's mattress bent, and his warmth radiated though her clothing. His fingers ran along her arm, causing goosebumps to rise with his touch. Outside, campers were laughing and training, swords and knifes and daggers clanging against each other. The noises were drowned out by Piper's beating heart.

She opened her eyes, staring at the ceiling.

"Hold me?" she whispered, turning her head. He smiled, scooting closer, and wrapped a protective arm around her waist and shoulders. He buried his nose into the crook of her neck.

She remembered the sleepless nights on the Argo II, how they held each other. She remembered searching for the House of Hades, turning up nothing until the last possible moment. She remembered her frustration with her knife, begging it to show her that Percy and Annabeth were alive. She remembered Annabeth's sobs and screams on the way back to camp. She remembered walking in on Percy restraining Annabeth in his arms, the silent tears mixing with his girlfriend's.

Piper choked back a sob.

"Pipes?" Jason murmured, tightening his grip on her. She shook her head, terrified that if she spoke, the rest of her cry would burst out. "Piper, it's okay." He knew what she was thinking about. He knew. "Pipes, Piper, it's okay." He cradled her head in his arms, almost on top of her. She let her arms circle around his neck and pull him closer. "I'm here. We're safe now. I'm never going to let anything hurt you again."

Piper let him trace the scar on her side, letting a tear drip down her cheek. Jason quickly wiped it away with his other hand. "Never?"

"Never. I promise."
