Ryan lay on his bed staring at the patterns on the ceiling. His stomach hurt like hell, but he did nothing to stop it. This was a regular occurrence for Ryan. Although he was able to hide it well at work, sometimes his façade would slip through, leaving people confused and worried. For example, there was this one time in the break room...

As Shane was telling some stupid story, Ryan's stomach sent an agonizing jolt through his whole body that made him scream and double over. He remembers all the people staring at him with worry, fear, and... disgust. Shane was the one to help him up and bring him to a safe, quiet place. Ryan half-lied to Shane and told him that it was just a random cramp he got from overworking his body. Ryan groaned and rolled over from the sheer thought of the memory.

He was pulled out of his thoughts by his phone buzzing. He pulled his phone up to his face and saw a message from Shane.

My Moth Man (Shane)

Hey Ry-Guy, how ya holding up? :)

Eh, I've been better. Sorry for bailing on you last minute dude.

Oh, no it's fine don't worry about it! Also, I was wondering if I could talk to you later tonight??

Uh, yeah sure. About what?

Ryan sighed and turned his phone off. He opened up Spotify and played 'Hell and You' by Amigo The Devil as he began to doze off.

Shane was shaking in his seat, he was extremely nervous about coming out to his best friend. What if this ruins everything between us? What if he hates me afterward? His thoughts surrounded his head like poison. His mind was paused when he felt a strong hand against his back.

Shane turned his head and looked up at Eugene, who was trying his best to comfort Shane. Shane shivered slightly and stood up. "I'm going on break, I need a cig. I'll be back soon," Shane mumbled quickly before running outside. Shane fumbled down the outside stairs and shakily took out a cigarette.

He struggled to flick his lighter on but eventually got it to go off. With shaky hands, he put the cigarette up to his lips and lit it up. He inhaled deeply and tilted his head back. He emptied his lungs with a long huff, before inhaling more smoke. He watched as a tall figure sat next to him on the stairs.

He exhaled and turned to the figure next to him. "Hey, Eugene..." Shane hoarsely coughed out. Eugene smiled quickly before talking. "Listen, I know that you're.." Eugene paused, "You're nervous, but Ryan won't leave you over this. Trust me, dude. I was just like you before I came out to the other Try Guys; nervous about them abandoning me. But now look at us, we're inseparable!"

Eugene chuckled slightly, then cleared his throat. "What I'm trying to say is: you have nothing to worry about Shane. He's not going to leave you over this. I've seen the way he looks at you, he wouldn't leave you even if he had to." Shane smiled and inhaled the last of his cigarette, burning it out on the back of his hand afterward. "And maybe stop smoking, it's bad for your lungs," Eugene lectured playfully.
