"Ashwineyyy!!" She whined, annoyed.
"Enna achu ma?" Ashwin asked, peeping from the kitchen.
"Enakku Michael Jackson ah paathe aavanum!" She asked with puppy eyes.
Ashwin sighed. Ever since he showed her Michael Jackson's 'Beat It', she has been listening to his classics non-stop and now, she was so impressed that she wanted to jam to his song with the late artiste himself.
"Maa enna ma, evalo dharava sollaruthu? Athellam mudiyaadhu."
"Yen mudiyaadhu? Naanum singer, avarum singer, singer-singer pesikalam."
"And what about the fact that he died almost 15 years ago?"
"Nooo. Po Ashwineyy onakku en mela paasame illama pochu!" She sulked, making him sigh again.
"Seri ippo va naa onakku Mushroom Pasta panni tharen. Enakku help pannu vaa!"
They both made their way to the kitchen and started making Pasta. It was like their CWC times, cooking was always their favourite activity to do together. Even during their tight schedules, the made sure to spend quality time with each other.
After eating and washing away he plates, Ashwin wanted to make her forget about Michael Jackson, he took her out to a beach nearby, which was always empty, It was discovered by his movie's team. Since then, it has been a favourite spot for both.
"Enna beach laam romba naal kalichu?" Sivaangi asked, because they rarely went out when they had a day off, because they have always wanted to spend time in their private space.
"Chumma thaan, romba naal aachu la" He said, "Seri vaa na oru picture podatuma? Movie shoot nu? Konjam fans a update ku alaya viduvom"
Sivaangi giggled, "Paavom Ashwineeyy. Idhu laam therinjichu naa ongala vechu seivaanga."
He took a pic of their slippers and posted it with a camera sticker.
"Seri vaa. Avanga konja neram mandaiya pichukattum."
"Aama Ashwineyy!" She called, making herself comfortable on the sand.
"Sollu maa"
"Michael Jackson oda family aavathu yaarachum paaka mudiyuma?"
"Nee innum adha vidalaya? Maa, there are other pop singers and writers too. Ore oru late artiste mela en ivlo craze? Adhuvum only in the past week?" He asked, really wishing she would drop the matter.
"Nee thaan arambicha. Naa ketena onna enakku english pop kaamikka solli? Hmm? Naa paatukku K-drama, K-Pop nu suthittu irunden. Ennakku idha pudusa paatha odane pudichuruchu! Vera Pop singers oda songs enakku kaamkariya??"
"Seri paakalam, ippo adha vidu. Anga paaru" He pointed at the sunset.
"Wow!"
The sunset was as romantic as it could be. The glowing sun, a crisp circle in the bloody sky, illuminated a quivering path across the water. It bathed the ocean's meek waves and the wispy clouds in a burning red.
She hugged his arm and he turned look at her glowing face, whe the last rays of the sun kissed her face. Words could not describe the happiness in his heart at that moment. Nothing could. He muttered a soft 'I love You' to his wife, whom he had married a year ago, after their budding romance in the cooking show that had changed the lives of many.
"I love you so much," he said quietly, and she smiled at him with a hundred words behind her eyes.
Just as quickly as her hands laced with his, he kissed her. She responded with such enthusiasm that he was taken aback at first, but regained his composure and the world around them was meaningless.
Nothing could have possibly meant more than them, nothing could have more beauty than this moment: those small hands pressed into his, the way her eyes fluttered to a close. She fit into him like a glove, her kiss like the beating of a butterfly's wings, soft until it became addictive.

Back on the way home, Sivaangi got reminded of his promise.
"Ashwineyy pudhu pop artistes solren nu sonningale!" She exclaimed.
Ayayo marubadiyuma, he thought.
"Maa veetukku poi saptutu kaamikkaren. Order panlaama?" He asked, hoping food would distract her, and it did.
"Haan okay! Enakku Pizza venum!" She said as they drove onside their driveway.
After completing dinner, Sivaangi started again. "Ashwineyy pop?"
Ashwin sighed and said, "Ivanga Michael Jackson kku aprama enakku pudicha pop artiste. Kesha. 2009 lenthu famous anaanga. This is one of her best songs." Saying that, he played 'Tik Tok' a classic back in 2010.
Next week, on their day off, Sivaangi called Ashwin and said "Ashwineey I want to meet Kesha!"
